Dhoni does'nt need a certificate OR support from anyone that he's good . Cricket is a Team Event where only Team Work counts . Its not like Tennis or Badminton . No captain in the World can win matches if ALL your main Batsman are getting out on 10 – 20 runs OR your Bowlers are not taking wickets even after bowling 25 - 30 overs each & your Fielders are dropping catches .
Even if your captain is excellent Team Leader , Great Motivator or very good Decision Maker you cannot win matches if all your batsman & bowlers fail .
Should MSD score 300 in every innings OR remove his gloves & start bowling ??

Dhoni is part of the team and needs to stay as a batsman. His keeping and leadership instincts in TEST cricket is below par. If we have to loose abroad, then why not give an opportunity to someone else. Unless we give chances, how we can check if someone is ready or not to replace DHONI in TEST (only). In ODI he is fine as the game itself is different than the rigour of TEST, where DHONI is found wanting as a leader.

Also, past laurels work elsewhere, not in the current era of competition and performance. BCCI is a club that represent INDIA and past laurels should not be a reason for someone sticking to the chair. We have enough of that in politics, do not want it in sports. People worship has to go from India.
Is he the billiards champion.All the same he can have his views no one objects .When Indiara Gandhi was assasinated or Rajeev Gandhi got killed - still we found replacements . Also as I wrote earlier Pataudi was thrown to lead when Nari contractor got injured and it is silly to say he is the best .All other countries try for next in one dayers and 20-20 etc although the five day is different .There can nothing more foolish than saying we have no leaders try even under n 19 captain he can do a better job
Are you Joking Mr.Pankaj Advani-With disrespect to Mr.Dhoni who has captained the side admirably in limited overs format he has been a misreable captain in Tests.This outcry is not only because of the defeat in this one series...he did it in England earlier and Aus and the tragic part in Aus was he refused to change the batting order/or batsman who failed continuously.It is best for him to quit the captaincy of Tests and concentrate on 50 overs format-so that he can make a reasonable attempt at defending the World Cup.
I guess this particular defeat against England in recent Test series is not because of Dhoni/Coach/Mentor/players but for this defeat I guess BCCI is the only responsible authority II guess It is very painful act on BCCI's part that despite after continuous so many past defeats on Foreign soil It was very much possible for BCCI to take corrective action before this tour starts I guess It is high time for BCCI to consider following points which I guess will definitely lead India to VICTORY in Test/ODI/T20 National cricket 1)Whether IPL should be continued or banned 2) Whether revision in pay pocket for players needs to be considered 3)Whether there is need of forming different Teams for all three different format 4) Whether there should be different captains and Vice captains for different format of Cricket 5) Because most of the players are being played in not only most of the format and also in IPL Is It not that the same players are overburdened hence Whether sufficient rest is provided to these players I guess presently there is a need of finding out right answers to these questions and take corrective action by which I guess India will definitely will come back to its original form and will not have to face such Shameful defeat in future
I guess this perticular defeat against England in recent Test series is not because of Dhoni. Individual players and the role of coach during the series as well in the past are also to be verified. Also the selection committee also should share the responsibility for selecting such a coach and team.
