worst loss

India team has to do only one thing. They have to shuffle their line-up 1. Vijay 2. Gambhir 3. Ashwin 4. Pujara or Shikhar 5. Virat 6. Naman 7. Dhoni 8.Pankaj 9.Ishant 10. Bhuvi 11. Varun
Last test we lost because Indian bowlers would not be in position to get more runs from face bowlers and would like to break the shackles and want to hit moeen and succumbed to him. I think Indian face bowlers should bowl tight lines and not to bowl any ball on legstump.

Batting order should be reversed. i hope that will pay. no.11 and 10 should open and others should follow in descending order.. dhoni may try this.

No excuses
by Sudarshan Nityananda on Aug 12, 2014 12:17 PM  | Hide replies

They have done better than earlier teams except Rahul Dravid's 2007 team, by winning at least one Test. But one thing they do not have an excuse for is getting all out in one session on the 3rd day when they knew that a storm would save them on the 4th and 5th day.

Let us not give too many reasons for comfort to this team who have had good pitches to bat on except at Lords.

You are bang on target! In 2002, this team could not bat out 5 extra minutes with the last man Zaheer doing a heave across the line to be bowled. As the players walked across the boundary there was a deluge. India team can never learn!

Look at this from the recent SL-Pak test match at Galle. Clouds looming and last Pak wicket to be taken. This was done and SL showed the urgency to score 99 runs in 20 overs. They even promoted Mahela to open in his last test series to do the job.

Indian Team

Indian Team can be competitive with zimbabwe,Bangladesh while playing overseas.
But While playing in india, India can be competitive with any team. That our batsman needs flat wicket to bat so that they can make centuries and earn sponsorship deals.
Standards of Indian Team:
In India: Okay
in Overseas: pathetic (can be defeated even by schoolboys of the countries)

why england rose from the ashes of defeat
by ranjit roy on Aug 12, 2014 11:46 AM

when the chips are down, when you're down and out, who better to bring you back to form? it is the indian cricket team. if ever one moment had an impact on a team, a series, and on an invidividual - it was that moment when dhoni's pet jadeja dropped captain cook - the tide turned forever after that

This year's performance is worse
by NIRJHAR MAJUMDAR on Aug 12, 2014 11:46 AM

There an b no xplanation of gtting fat to this England side so miserably. last time,England was much more formidable.

England need not play five day match with India when they can defeat India in three days.

India should not visit England or Australia or South Africa in near future.
Spoiled brats!!!

And what will firing Dhoni achieve?

He will and can only be replaced by his clone!

The sooner we accept the fact that there is rampant corruption in Indian cricket and ALL matches are fixed, the easier it will be to rationalize and reconcile with the reality that the Indian Cricket team will always perform like this ...... spectacular at home and abysmal abroad!

At least next captain will think for the team. Just because there is no alternative u cannot keep on playing with Dhoni. Dhoni is good only for IPL that tooo with only repated players and betting
