Misplaced ' Bharar Ratna'
by sudhir ponnala on Aug 09, 2014 02:45 PM

As an articulate sportsperson, there is a crucial role that Sachin could have played as a member of Parliament. That he chose to shirk his respoonsi-bility speaks volumes about his character.

Sachin has adopted falsehood recently!
by Anil De on Aug 09, 2014 02:28 PM

Sachin has lost his credibility in Cricket by hanging on to the game in spite of his fallen paying standards. Now he has adopted falsehood to justify his absence in the Parliament. This is only expected from persons who did not have enough education in their lives. Everybody knows that Sachin is not even a Graduate!

Well, really...

While one would like to believe Sachin and also sympathise with him, let us not forget that he did not appear to have cut down on his other `profitable' engagements during the period because of the personal reasons. Not that he would have contributed anything much for the upliftment of the poor by attending the RS. Who knows, he might also have been caught napping as the crown prince was, and the Congress (Sachin may be a nominated member, but there is no doubt that he is a Congressman given the Rajiv Shukla connection to Congress and the BCCI) would have jumped to his support giving all sorts of excuses.

Weak defence. it was not expected from Sachin. MEDICAL EMERGENCY?
by subrata banerjee on Aug 09, 2014 02:12 PM  | Hide replies

Sachin informed that he could not attend RS because of MEDICAL EMERGENCY in his home (i.e, bypass surgery of his elder brother)and for this he could not turn up for months together? No this is a lame excuse which reflects the typical attitude of clerical staff.

The people present in Rajyasabha first tell what they have done in last 40 days.

Theses idiots can do anything for publicity.

please tell what they have not done, No institution is perfect, but experts are nominated to RS so that they can bring in some value in the process. here is some one who never bother to be present there for the whole year, have not used a paisa allotted to him and says he could not as his brother was hospitalized.... I pity those who still find excuse for his action

He has time to visit Paradise hotel and collect biryani and kebabs and discuss with staff of the hotel. It is unbecoming of a Bharat Ratna awardee

Just 3 days of attendance since being nominated more than 2 years back.
