The IPL is a entertainment gala with players around the world entertains us but far better is to watch the players from Down Under who had just become overnight stars in most of the matches Maxwell - Batting Watson - Bowling Smith - Batting Faulkner - Batting Starc - Bowling Warner - Batting Finch - Batting Bailey - Captain COOL of Australia
Though Indians,Indies and Afrikaans are playing well but the dominant factor in each and every match is the above listed players who are making this season far more better to watch
Wonder where these guys are when playing for their country and not even qualify for T20
When will the Indian rising stars seen in IPLs enter the big league (represent India on the World map of cricket). I think we can see the likes of Chahal, V.Saha, Tambe and others only IPL games.
(contd.) Punjab of course are the new look unbeatable side with brilliance of Glenn Maxwell giving them a special aura of invincibility. However the team is much more than one man show winning more due to spirited team work. RR on the other hand except for the last unexpected loss against SRH always look to be pulling punches above their weight and look certain to make it to the play offs. In fact the last unexpected loss against SRH could help them compete better strategically with sides like RCB,KKR etc. who have to now ward off challenge from SRH too after their last win against RR. Thus, as things stand RCB and KKR are becoming more and more unpredictable and inconsistent and with even MI witnessing a late surge the competition is only going to be tougher for these two sides. Should RCB lose to-day’s match against Punjab then it is going to be real uphill task for them to make it to the play offs. SRH even with best bowling attack however need much more inspirational leadership and batting abilities to click as a unit to make more headway. The new look DD also have been very big disappointment so far performing much below expectations. One positive is late surge in its batting which does look to have somewhat made an impression in the last 2-3 games even w/o contributions from KP. Bowling appears to be the weak link with little spinning options and pacers led by Md Shami performing below par. Unless DD reinforces their spinning arsenal and sharpens its

IPL-7 rolls on majestically crossing mid-way mark with some brilliant individual performances together with couple of failures in batting and bowling witnessed ever throwing up new heroes and zeros! Glenn Maxwell has in fact set IPL on fire with audacious shot making beyond the realm of possibilities ! On the other hand the likes of Chris Gayle, KP etc. are still to make their mark. Some spectacular ground fielding and breathtaking catches seen with mix of couple of easy dropped catches will also be there for all time to cherish and associate with IPL! It s these unforgettable moments which are going to make IPL the special sporting event of the world to be sustained for future times! It is stock taking time for all the teams and they must be busy with some serious mid-term appraisal of strengths and weaknesses in the areas of batting, bowling, fielding and individual performances to come up with strategic and tactical course correction to be applied towards best possible salvaging operations. While teams like CSK and RR which made it to the play offs last season have managed to hold on to the top half but the other biggies like MI and RCB are found to be still struggling to find their feet! CSK unlike earlier seasons have started with greater consistency of wins and do look formidable. In all probability will make it to the playoffs but their bowling does look weak and danger lurks it could come unstuck on a given day in the ko stage that could end th

When there are 8 teams competing, ideally each team should have played the other 7 before starting the next round of games. However, what we see here is certain combinations have already played twice within the first 7 matches, ex: CSK Vs DD, RR Vs KKR. Why the hurry to complete certain combinations quicker?

Also all the teams should complete same number of matches. i.e one team played 9 matches and other team playing only 7 matches shud not be allowed. Also each team shud have at least two days rest.
