Y Bhuvi performed better?
by Manu G M on Oct 21, 2013 07:36 PM

If anyone luk at the overs bhuveneshwar kumar bowled, u can understand that he was mostly used during the first half and that is not the case of ishant sharma and vinay kumar...when we compare the number of times bhuvi, ishant and vinay bowling the last overs we can see that both ishanth and vinay bowled very much more overs in the last 10 than bhuvi...when doing comparison of performances everyone should take these matters also into considerations... Now if u compare u will get a better picture of ishant's performance....also dhoni uses ishant as a partnership breaker most of the times and proved right in many occasions including in champions trophy final...pls don't forget those things....

Ishant is only best for gully cricket
by mangesh sawalkar on Oct 21, 2013 07:23 PM

How u feel, Ishant getting much more chances in Indian squad and now need to replace him immediately with perform base bowlers. Ishant Sharma is capable to play gully cricket. I don't see a hopeless bowler like him and very surprise that how any experience bowler bowl like this? only because of him Indian lost his ODI in Mohali.

zak is finished. he will come and bowl for two matches, and then back on bench with injuries. we should not invest on him any more.

performance of Ishant sharma
by goyal goyal on Oct 21, 2013 06:50 PM  | Hide replies

charts given above are not justified as they even compared bawling of par- time bawlers. He is to be compared with specialist fast bawler who suppose to open the inning and doing bawling in the lase overs.moreover when harbhajan singh can be out why not ISHANT SHARMA.H should be giver some rest and chance to improve his performance.

dhoni knows better than any of the so called pundits writing these columns....ishant is used by dhoni mainly to pick crucial wickets...which he does mostly...Indian people are so na￿ and short memoried...everybody forgets the first 7 overs of ishant in the last match in which he bowled well....also remember Faulkner himself bowled an over of 21 runs but everyone has forgotten that...shows lack of cricketing insights.......

.ishant is used by dhoni mainly to pick crucial wickets...which he does mostly

When did he take crucial wickets ?
He got wickets because of batsmen's mistake & rarely because of good bowling.

.ishant is used by dhoni mainly to pick crucial wickets...which he does mostly

If 33/1 in 7 overs a good performance ? No way close. It is average performance. Even Yuvi/Raina would have bowled better

Falkener can be retained even if he gives 36 in a over because he can hit so many. There are as many as 50 bowlers who can bowl better than him

Correction:

There are as many as 50 bowlers who can bowl better than Ishanth

Ishant is a failed commodity
by naveen on Oct 21, 2013 06:30 PM

True Indian fans decide anything and everything on the basis of one bad or good performance immediate past. But that last performance is a nail the coffin for Ishant Sharma and he is a failed commodity. Reasons given below
1) For any fast bowler, England Australia are favourable places. Even the likes of Agarkar, Rp Singh have performed well in those conditions. However, Ishant played 8 test matches in England and Australia and miserably failed ( he failed in India too facing the same oppositions in the test matches that followed)not mention his failure in the following ODI serieses in both the countries. It does not make sense, to have a fast bowler in the team who cannot perform in favourable conditions. If a fast bowler cannot perform in favourable conditions, will he ever perform in Indian pitches.
2) From the time Ishant has made his debut for India, his performances have been dropping rather than improving.
We can clearly say, he is a failed commodity, his averages terrible for a fast bowler like him. Indian team is no zimbabwean team to have players like him

Somebody forward this chart to dhoni
by O K on Oct 21, 2013 06:02 PM  | Hide replies

Dear dhoni, as long as I remember I never seen ishant perform economically. He dosn't deserve another chance. If he needs to prove himself then put him in India A team.
