and, one of the backup plans should be to REST ONE OF MIDDLE-ORDER BATSMEN FOR ONE MATCH AND get one specialist spinner allrounder for one match to check out Auz. REPLACEMENT IDEA IS FINE. but dont go for temporary success by hurried replacements...YOU WILL BE TRAPPED.

Nice to hear that you adopted a girl. However, as soon as you said the word "Adopted" shows your mentality. She has now been legally Adopted and Accepted by you accordingly she is your own real daughter, now don't ever consider or say this "Adopted" word again this will dilute your deed

And i mean i am not averse to replacement, my fear is that replacement will not solve, problem with indian bowling will become much more severe when we play overseas. So Indian think-tank instead of playing musical chairs with bowlers should fix the core problem of indian bowling. >>> THUS AS ONE OF THE BACKUP plan. INDIA SHOULD play one batsmen short by resting Raina or Yuvraj to bring in an extra specialist spinner be it Ojha or Mishra or some specialist spinner allrounder....

QHogajoga,
Just going into this mindset, the replacement would fail, would be unfair for the fringe players.Just give newcomer the time and chance his predecessor has got(in this case I.Sharma) and see how he perfoms and has learnt over the period of time. If You Fail to Plan, You Plan to Fail?

There may be huge bets on who will be No.1 ODI team after this series! Considering that Australia needs to win by a 6-1 margin to get to No.1 spot, I am sure the bookies would want India to lose all the next 3 matches too, so that the stakes could be multiplied, in the final match of the series!

Spin Bowlers the remedy
by Jose Sucorinho Antao on Oct 21, 2013 08:07 PM

The Aussies, The Springboks, The Kiwis, etc are noted to play fast bowlers better than they play the spinners, especially on the sub-continental pitches. As Tony Greg says 'that if you want to win the match than in the final overs you need to have your wicket taking bowlers' and Ishant is not noted to be a great wicket taking bowler. Dhoni would have been better if he had saved the overs of the spin bowlers to be used in the end overs.

ISHANT gone mad, lost all senses while bowling 48th over that day
by JAAGRUK INSAAN on Oct 21, 2013 07:45 PM  | Hide replies

It was beyond everybody's understanding the repeat nonsense bowled by ISHANT in that 48th over.
Even a gulli crick bowler would have educated himself to change his pace and mend his way to correct the hammering he received from oz batsman .

He proved that Indian captian can still tolerate his utter nonsense, and even now he must be having confidence in the same direction, since he is retained in the team.

What a bad luck for INDIA !
What else it can be termed as otherwise ??

Go give enough wisdom to Indian captain NOT to use ISHANT in post 40 overs again if at all he is given bowling.

Ishant should not follow advise that does not suit his height...the yorkers from his height and speed gives enough time for batsmen to hammer him... But his old style game with occasional high rise and cutter can help him..
