Dhoni,Srini,BCCI prepare sporting wkt
by alex on Oct 21, 2013 09:30 PM

Dhoni,Srini,BCCI prepare sporting wkt, travel south Africa for long tour (dont cut tour only for formality) , dont afraid lossing to Africa. If you do these simple things, bowlers will prepared for next 10 years. Just playing flattest pitches ,playing IPL , hitting 4/6 at will on smaller ground just for money does not helps REAL cricket. Ishant is just escape goat here Mr.Dhoni

ASHWIN CANNOT RETAIN HIS PLACE FOR LONG BOWLING THIS WAY
by damodaran mohan on Oct 21, 2013 07:07 PM

It is indeed a good quality of a captain to persist and give as much chance to a player especially youngsters who have got the chance after a long struggle.Only thing is long rope has a limit and the player has to show distinct improvement. At least that is not happening with i/Sharma which we have discussed already elsewhere. Now coming to spin it must be added here that it is one of the reasons of the poor showing of the Indian bowling attack with the main spin spearhead R/Ashwin just trying more of a containing bowler than a wicket taking bowler. Even Ravindra jadej who is not supposed to be a specialist bowler is doing better job with wicket to wicket intelligent bowling w/o giving away much to the batters True rule changes have made things difficult but how is it that even Maxwell is bowling better than Ashwin? So the need is to adapt rather than going on trying meaningless variations on such flat tracks with such new rules and that needs maturity which he seems to be lacking. Further, the very fact that Ashwin is bowling round the wicket to give that angle and contain indicates he has completely lost confidence on his regular off-spin bowling.. He has to bowl his stock off-spinners with good line and length to get wicket and gain confidence. One wonders how long he can retain his place in the squad as a lead spinner bowling such negative bowling.

'FALKNER'S BLITZKRIEG'
by Srinivas A Madhan on Oct 20, 2013 10:16 PM

'FALKNER'S BLITZKRIEG': Ishant's gift to Aussies, 30 in 48th over off his, an incredible, unbelievable saddest moment for Dhoni ever, so far, despite his blitzkrieg unbeaten 139, giving 2-1 lead to the rivals. I had predicted this in my letter to you after the second match, don't know whether it was publishes at all.
Cautioning our Team not to be complacent rejoicing the great great second match win, just because of our worry on our bowling, as the visitors had massacred our bowlers in both the first two matches despite, our Team registered their mighty win in the second match, a glorious achievement. Unfortunate that fortune has not favoured our 'Brave' Team. No problem. four more to go to come out in flying colours. All the best, Dhoni & comany.
S.A. Madhan,(daddy)

how come Indian bowlers didn't learn anything from Malinga though he has been in IPL for many years. Such beautiful Yorkers are missing from the best of Indian fast bowlers.

indian bowlers were never a threat to any opposition. it is their famed batting which has won 99 percent of matches.

man management skills of Dhoni. Just a few months before, I shant was wonderful in Champions Trophy. He surely gives his best, gives his boys good number of chances and tries to get the best out of them. That's why he is so successful.

Apparently, the "talent" is missing for many of the not-selected players..
