Adieu sir
by Narayanan Mahalingam on Oct 16, 2013 07:34 PM

He has a record which even the money machine of Mumbai does not have. A century at Lords.
For the talent he had, he under achieved.
Also, remembered for his spell at Adelaide in the test where Rahul Dravid scored a double hundred.
Hope you can contribute back to the game as an umpire or as a coach. India needs good quality umpires badly.

He gave away runs, but also took crucial wickets.
It was a wonder at the pace he generated with his
short run up.My best wishes to Ajit. I am sure he will play an important part in India's and Mumbai cricket to unearth good fast bowlers.

happy retired life

A hugely talented cricketer who unfortunately could not play up to his potential. He was a truly "all-rounder' material that could not produce its best. I guess it was his destiny but he will be surely remembered for his great talent.
