Once again people from Bihar have shown they have nothing better to do!
It is obvious Sachin was given this honor to rope him in to campaign for the desperate-to cling-to-power U P A in the 2014 election!
Why waste the time of an Indian court which is already reeling under a heavy backlog of cases going back decades!
Please people Bihar, desist from such nonsensical gimmicks!
We Indians know why Sachin was really given this award!
Dhyan Chand and Milker Sing cannot be given this award because Dhyan Chand is too dead to campaign for the U P A and Milker Sing does not look photogenic enough to be appealing to a euphoric young India!
Why waste the time of an Indian court on this frivolous matter and give it more publicity than it deserves?!
Sachin was a great cricketer and there is no doubt about that. He has the game 24 years and won many matches for country and made our country proud. The mistake what he has done is that he has not retired after winning the world cup in 2011. After that he was just hanging on.
He should be respected.
To give Bharata Ratna was totally congress govt's decision. Sachin has not asked for it. Congress has announced because of forthcoming election.
Congress should have thought many other issues such as common man's problem to survive today because of price rise of essential commodities such as onion, tomotto, rice, wheat, and dal. rather than announcing BR for Sachin who is already a crorpati.
we r in the age of self marketing and pr to stay in place...tendulkar is a classic example...fortunately he is also a good player...while there r many in other part of business include politics who r useless but manages themselves with their work and popularity using the marketing and pr skills....tendulkar has a good arm support from the regional maharastrian lobby unlike ganguly or azhar or kapil or dravid has from kolkota, Hyderabad, Punjab or bang lore to get them a Bharat ratna.... Now modi is running high on the same self marketing and pr propaganda which brings them into limelight and sends back their competition,,,,this is so improtant as we Indians are believers (blind believers) in everything and these guys r taking that advantage....giving Bharat ratna to tendulkar after his retirement is absolutely incorrect...it seems govt has gone onboard to felicitate him without waiting and seeing repurcation and sentiments of other great sportsman and womens...tendulkar should ask his pr to stay low now...see ourselves the amount of money, propaganda and parties for his retirement...have u seen similar thing with any player? This is today's self tabla...
It is unfair to those lakhs of undertrials suffering in our jails due to non-availability of courts' time, that such a petition filed by a *nincompoop*, on a matter relatively insignificant and inconsequent, has been admitted, and a hearing scheduled immediately! Typical Indians, the petitioner and the CJM!
Also, without taking away any credit from the Indian Hockey Wizard, it may not be out of place to mention that he thrived in an era when India had introduced the game to the rest of the world, and the others were just beginning to catch up, whereas, Sachin had taken on the might of the Pakistani, Australian, English and West Indian bowlers when those countries were considered far superior to India in the game! So, decide for yourself as to who deserves the award more!
What comes out as funny is that nobody - neither this a55hol3 of a petitioner, nor all those who are supporting his immature act - would have objected, if Sachin had chosen to retire a few years ago, and the title was then conferred on him! So, it is very evident that the objection has arisen out of "personal frustrations" at Sachin not retiring earlier! It is indeed weird that the "commendable work" that he had done till a few years back gets nullified by his timing of retirement! Jealousy is also evident in the usage of the prefix "millionnaire"!

Personally, I also was angry and frustrated that Sachin did not quit the game earlier, but I firmly believe that he had done enough and more to earn the honour of BR during his heydays!

When u question others as unfair...try to assess ur opinion...tendulkar is no doubt one of the greatest cricketer world has seen but he is a failed captain, he is a failed team winner, he has failed repeatedly in pressure matches...the j0ke is that if sachin has hit good runs then we lose...j0kes apart...sachin is a honest and inspiring cricketer but Bharat ratna on the day of retirement is a big j0ke on the system and absolutely incorrect....kapil got world cup when India was not even a regarded team...why not to kapil...

Let me try to clarify: I do not care if a Sachin or a Kapil gets BR, or any other award for that matter, but it does hurt me that the judiciary chooses to give priority to insignificant cases like this one, even as lakhs of undertrials, and their families, continue to suffer on account of the busy schedules of our courts!

Without undermining his achievements in any way, let me remind you that all those came long after Sachin set the cricketing world on fire, and helped lift the country's image almost to the very top of the cricketing nations, entertaining and inspiring at least two generations of the country! Understandably, there is a limit on the number of people that can be considered for this greatest award each year, and hence Sachin had to wait for a long time! Hopefully, Anand will not have to wait this long! *CHEERS*

Bharat Ratna is not related with money. Bharat Ratna is related to honour and respect for once performance for the country. If Sachin had mad money it is due brilliance and talent in field of Cricket.100 centuries and 200 matches what an achievement
