The emotional drama by BCCI
by pradeep agarwal on Nov 17, 2013 07:18 PM

BCCI knew well that they will have o do something sooner then later to get him out of test side as his form has deserted him long ago. They used Start sports which has known Sachin lobbyist on their commentary team & a completely substance devoid electronic media. The way this series against the worst side in world was arranged at the cost of a competitive full series in SA puts big question mark on the BCCI commitment towards game.Sachin has done enough & in return people of India has loved him more then any other cricketer.I however still will rate contribution of Patudi more to the game who introduced the winning habit in teanM India & also Sehwag who has won more games which Sachin,VVS & Dravid together did not in last 10 yr.The Bharat ratna being given to him is complete mockery of aard which should have been given to Hockey Wizard Dhyan Chand first who won country 5 Olympic golds

about sachin

Sachin tendulkar is a role model of the young generation not only in India but also for the entire world. I think that the spirit of cricket will loose its glamour without him. I wish him all success even after his retirement from cricket.

He is definately a role model. the fact that he played 200 tests shows his discipline, dedication and commitment. no test cricketer in the world has shown that kind of enthusiasm for cricket. the fact that he was a batsman helped him immensely.

Bharat ratna for a game in which during his ntire career ,team was at top for 12 months. That too for a game played in only 11 countries at the cost of Dhyan Chand who won us 5 Golds in Olympics.IIt was yet another devaluation of India's top civilian honour by Congress for votes

i think we should not mix sports with politics. all the political parties were in favour of giving bharat ratna to sachin. people were also waiting for the same. such popularity was not enjoyed by other sportsmen. sachin deserved it very much.

Sachin The greatest sportsman and statesman
by W Farnando on Nov 17, 2013 06:33 PM  | Hide replies

Sachin has proved to India that majority of the Indians [barring a 10%] are honest loyal peace loving and self respecting people. Sachin is first a sportsman and then an MP.politicians love cricket because of the vote bank but cricketers are not politician cricketers work hard politicians dont. cricketers toil in the sun. politicians dont.cricketers live and earn ontheir skills ;politicians live and eanr by exploiting the underprivileged .politicians change parties after they lose the elections cricketers remain in the same team whether it wins or not.So by this logic Sachin is greater than any statesmen or politicIan India has produced. We are happy that today India has an icon who stands for LOYALTY,PATRIOTISM, FAIRNESS, KINDNESS,HARD WORK AND COMMITMENT

CRICKET or Sachin
by Anand sodo on Nov 17, 2013 05:58 PM  | Hide replies

Is Cricket bigger or sachin? What we have been trying to prove is that Sachin is Bigger than Cricket. In our eagerness to praise Sachin rather We are vying with each other to DENIGRATE all other Cricketers. What about players like MAKPataudi, Ajit Wadekar, SM Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Saurav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid....the line is long....DID they DESERVE to be sent off the field as they were?....Is Sachin the only Cricketer in India?...Could we not have given a BETTER farewell to other Indian Players?.... AAre we setting up the right precedent?....One RAPE victim is 'NIRBHAYA' - We forget all the others...One child falling in a borewell is 'PRINCE'...we forget all others...One player is Sachin - We forget all others...this is what I call Indian HYPPOCRACY.

THIS NOT ABOUT SACHIN BEING GREATER THAN CRICKET OR NOT. IT IS ABOUT THIS PERSON HIS CHARACTER.THERE ARE GREAT PEOPLE.THERE ARE GREAT ORDINARY PEOPLE LIKE EX=ARMY CHIEF WHO WOULD SAY SOMETHING AND WITHDRAW THE NEXT MOMENT.iF PRINCE HAD TO DIED;IF NIRBHAYA HAD TO DIED; IT WAS BECAUSE OF CORRUPTED POLITICIANS WHO HAVE INFILTRATED INTO THE GOVERNMENT. SACHIN HAS ACHIEVED THAT NO OTHER INDIAN SPORTSMAN HAS ACHIEVED.

Well said Anand,It was nothing short of cacophony by a rank uninformed anchors of substance devoted Channels.I have never seen this kind of psychophancy in any other country including USA for even Ali who is unquestionably the best living sports person in the world at the time of his retirement.

Indian politicians ESPECIALLY this third rated party called congress can do anything. They can definitely make sachin look bigger than cricket. If sachin is a honest fellow, he would have retired long back. He is a selfish and narrow minded guy.

GRATITUDE TO YOU, SACHIN
by thyagarajan krishnamurthyiyer on Nov 17, 2013 04:56 PM

Finally, a banner displayed at wankhede stadium summed-up the whole ….

‘LEGENDS NEVER RETIRE……….’

How true.

We have seen ‘good’
We have seen ‘best’
We have seen ‘great’

But to be a ‘legend’…. One has to live.

the farewell speech of sachin, simply threw everyone off ground; time came to a still….like while he bats.

The greatness in him yet again came out when he expressed his gratitude, through an emotion-filled voice:

Sachin’s father—he inspired me to chase my dream, but told me ‘there are no shortcuts’

Sachin’s mother—every m other wants her child to be healthy and fit. Whenever I played, she prayed.

Sachin on his spouse—I would not have been here. It has been the best partnership of my life.

Sachin on his guru—he made me play two matches a day so that I got maximum practice.

Sachin on friends—whenever I was stressed, they were by my side. My friends told positive things and kept me going.

the occasion concluded with warmth expressions by the greats like sunil gavaskar…

a few of their utterances….

DON’T CHANGE WHEN SUCCESS COMES YOUR WAY…..

GIVE VALUE AND LIVE FOR VALUES……

Yes, sachin not only played the game he loved so much, with passion, but lived the life too enjoying what he believed.

Spent his life thro’ the grind to come out as a ‘diamond’ all over to

kohli, pujara and now rohit have done well in india but their true worth will only be known by their performance outside south asia. sachin performed on all wickets and hence i feel it is premature to say we have found sachin's replacemnents.
