The dirty game of politicians taking credit for conferring the Bharat Ratna on Sachin Tendulkar has begun. Rajeev Sukhla has given due credit to the UPA govt and MMS for conferring this title to the master blaster. Rajeev Sukhla plz note you were better off in your Janata ki adalat avatar and should have remained there, instead of your present role of an errand boy to the Dame & the Little Boy. Rajeev Sukhla plz note that the UPA govt or MMS has not done any favour to Sachin by conferring the Bharat Ratna. Sachin deserves it and this title should have been confered on long back. Sachine has already been declared a jewel in the crown of the Indian union by the masses much before the formal announcement of this award by the UPA govt. Even in the absence of this title, he would not have been anything less. This is another political stunt by the UPA govt. who are trying to cash in on the situation seeing the nationwide mass hysteria generated by the public during the little master's farewell match and use it as a tool for garnering some support in their favor for forthcoming elections. So Rajeev Sukhla you can fool some people sometimes but you cannot fool all the people all the time.
Today,being the retirement and a very emotional day for Sachin and the cricket fans,the conferring of this award might seem justified.But there are many other people in this country who deserve this award.Sachin has been a great cricketer and his longevity has to be admired.But cricketers like KAPIL,GAVASKAR and DRAVID have been equally good and have played when it mattered the most.He has hardly delivered when the country required him the most.He has wasted crucial deliveries when he was approaching his centuries in ODI.People and media may create hysteria but BHARAT RATNA is too big an honour to be conferred without adequate thought.

There have been rumors that Sachin is likely to be used by the Congress for election campaign. I wish Sachin keeps away from politics in general and from the Congress in particulars

already he accepted rajya sabha member post on the behest of congress.
Like most of the other Civilian Awards in India, even the highest Civilian Award is now up for grabs to any & every person who can create a media hype. No one really cares or tries to really understanding if the person has contributed anything to the development of this country. Very SAAAAD.

uable to understand that majority of bharat ratan has been from 4 states i.e. up maharashtra tamil nadu & west bengal why

Not in this case. Bharath Ratna should be proud to have this name etched on it. His last gesture as he bid adieu. Stunned all. A few days back after winning ashes the english players pee'd on the pitch. That is the difference and why he is the greatest. A true indian. Humble modest and role model to all. That is Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar.
