To expect morality from scamsters is foolish on our part
by Rajesh Chheda on May 28, 2013 03:22 PM

Scamsters of all types including businessmen and politicians are immune to their own inner voice that tells them what is right and what is wrong.
For us people to expect morality, moral responsibility from such people is sheer waste of time and energy.
Corruption of morals is first then of money and power hence only way to deal with such characters is by speedy trial of their wrong doings and appropriate punishment under law.

Shame, BJP, IPL, BCCI, Srinivasan !!!
by Ajubabu on May 28, 2013 03:04 PM

Game of Srini : B4 he has came to Pawar group in BCCI & made chief of BCCI. Now he came to Dalmiya group & dare not to resign. Where Jaitely / Modi went ? How is it possible, a committe constituted by a person, whom son-in-law is going to probed. In Pawan Bansal & now appointed CAG case, BJP is forced Bansal to resign in same case & halt parliament & exchequer to our already eco burden to us. This is purely a double standard of politics.

BCCI Chairman Mr.Srinivasan
by gopalakrishnan caruthedath on May 28, 2013 02:27 PM  | Hide replies

I think this columnist has been paid handsomely to write this article. If Mr.Srinivasan's hands are clean, why does not he step down for a while, authorise an independent committee consisting of retired High Court Judges (and none from the BCCI) to go into the whole IPL saga right from year one till date. Let everything come out in the open - involvement of players, owners, officials, umpires, etc. He can then prove his innocence - not otherwise.

No one is pre-judging Srinivasan....
by VASUDEVAN V on May 28, 2013 02:24 PM

The author completely misses the following points:
1. There is very clear clash of interest in everything that Srinivasan did ever since IPL got rolling. He amended the by-laws of BCCI so that India Cements, the company he owns with 28.5% stake can have a team in IPL. A clear case of a Board President misusing his power.
2. Numerous instances of misuse of power have cropped up against him during the players' auction. He bulldozed all such objections and got what he wanted.
3. This year no matches should have been played in Chennai once the State Government said no Sri Lankan player will be allowed to play in Chennai. Thanks to Srinivasan as President of the Board, he had league matches in Chennai and the teams were asked not to field Sri Lankan players in Chennai. A clear case of misuse of power by the Board President.
5. M.Gurunath is Srinivasan's sil. On moral grounds Srinivasan should step down as President of the Board till the enquiry is over and the report is submitted to the Board to a person other than Srinivasan as President. By continuing as President Srinivasan is comprising the enquiry and the subsequent handling of the report.
6. Gurunath an enthusiast? Blatant lie! Will the same privilege be extended to the other cricket enthusiasts by Srinivasan? Perhaps he will extend that to the author of this piece who has signed off as a cricket enthusiast! Srinivasan will be pleased to read this article!

propaganda

what is IPL? nobody knows, but IPL is not true cricket. why media is giving so much publicity to these kind of dramas? obviously lot of money is involved in whole drama. why ICL was banned & selectors are choosing teams based on IPL performance. why Cricketers are so greedy that they can do anything for money. is they have any interest in national issues or they are collecting money just like beggars. are other sports are not important for country. most shameless among whole lot is retired & playing cricketers, who are just witnessing the whole drama.
