you cannot win each and every series..there is no charm in it...
even australai has lost some won some...south africa and england is yet to win a world cup.. so dont worry this is good enough for us..

Too harsh comment . Remember many Sehwag's innings which singlehandedly won the match . Sehwag and gambhur has lost sheen !

Viru is also one of the all time greats of Indian cricket, But, an era has passed. Thank you Viru, for all the joy you gave us Indians.

Dhawan seems a worthy replacement and yes, let us see how he performs on the seaming tracks of South Africa, England and Australia. Such tests await Pujara & Murli Vijay too!

A win abroad will make this team formidable
by deb on Mar 28, 2013 05:56 PM  | Hide replies

True character of the team will get revealed from the results abroad. Winning overseas will vindicate our claim of a strong team. Australia has done that, south Africa has done the same, India team during saurav era has partially done the same.

This partially done qualifies as a consolation. Out of 11 overseas test victories in Ganguly's era 6 were against Bangladesh and Zimbawabe. Rahul Dravid as captain had 5 overseas victories and out of that one against Bangladesh. Dhoni Also has 5 overseas victories with one against Bangladesh. Ganguly's records do not look imposing enough to be compared with victories of SA,England or Australia overseas!!

Yes, that is what harbajan was talking about in the beginning of the series that he will thrash Aussies, black and blue. Aussies got thrashed but his contribution was only from mouth.
