His greatest achievements is his down to earth attitude and not hurting the sentiments even when some hurts his like Amarnath and Laxman. Who have spoken against Dhoni but he has never given it back. He has made all and sundry eat their words with his bat and keeping doing the talking

What exactly does it mean when you say he didn't hurt Amarnath and Laxman? What has Dhoni done to India test cricket besides scoring in single digits in all test matches except a rare few (Even fools get lucky).

Kumble is a neat guy. Contributed when in needed and what he could. He quit at the right time before someone has to remind him.
His contributions were immense and was never a burden to Team India ...

& tlerating the old bag , overhyped overrated noncontributor the so called greatest Sachin Budhalekar.
u do this when he wins overseas test matches with this team, we can always appreciate. no doubt that he won world cup for us but contribution from yuvraj is the key for success. test match i still rate him as average, just current test ranking suggests what's his acheivement

what can he manage ? he could not manage to play pace bowlers on last oz tour . he could not manage to put bat to ball to club class bowlers at home. what he can manage & manage well is to leverage his connections in bcci to remain in playin x1.

at least he is better than other shameless player who inspite of being most experienced & most played , fell to inexperienced bowlers. at least dhoni led from the front & is proud to be the architect of this win than the shameless who is not ashamed to share the dressing room with players aged as much as his experience.
His role in nurturing and taking personal responsibility in His Highness' growth is just phenomenal. Hail the devotee Dhobi and Hail the Lord Ravindra Jadhuja
