2011 ODI world cup biggest by far
by kiran kumar on Mar 26, 2013 07:10 PM

The voting demonstrates that. Test number 1 would be better than that, if only the ranking system was more credible.

Though Indian test team was doing well in that period. It was not a formidable force to be cherished

narrow minded comment. by forgetting laxman in that list you proved egoistic and jealousy. do not comment him. he may not be great. but he is a better captain

Dhoni created mental problems for senior
by IDforDiscussion on Mar 26, 2013 06:55 PM

I liked Dhoni till world cup. Gauti was upset as he got all the credit. He created mental stress for seniors like Veeru, Gauti, Laxman, dravid, Harbhajan etc. Ganguly was better in that. Ganguly lost in world cup final against strong Aus team otherwise we could have that cup also.
Against this team Jadeja, Ashwin got wickets as they got more over. He tactfully applies the over and time his players perform and not others.

Really Nothing - cricket is a team sport
by Talisman on Mar 26, 2013 06:12 PM  | Hide replies

These questions are ridiculous. Dhoni is just one player in a 12 member team. It is not like this guy scores centuries after centuries or makes players better. A team is only as good as its players. Indian news media's rubbish attitude and glorifying one person in a team game is self serving.

Don't forget that.

ABSOLUTELY CORRECT.
In my view, Dhoni is just an ordinary performer but he is captalising the good performance of a very talented team. Some time by bowlers, by batsman and by division in opposite teams. He is a captain by chance and luck

thats right even steven waugh, ricky ponting, clive loyed all great captains were ordinary it was just that they got a talented team that they were successful. leadership qualities and taking out the best from a talented person has no value..

Dhoni has single handedly won most number of ODIs for India than any other player.. this alone is proof enough..

Is this our Destiny
by Public Demand on Mar 26, 2013 06:11 PM  | Hide replies

We are forced to extol the contributions of any cricketer, especially captains like Dhoni, Ganguly, and Azhar for their performance on ONLY Indian soil.

Will India ever see a captain for his lofty performance abroad?. Will India produce three neat pacers or fast bowlers, atleast of Manoj Prabhakar calibre--if not of Kapil Dev's calibre.

Dhoni will again CRY as he did in Austria last time, by giving up his captaincy. What more we expect from such a bad captain.
