dhoni wanted to limit the amount of credit dhawan is going to get from it... because dhawan is not from his friends group OR from CSK...he hails from his rival delhi group.

At the end of the day,the result matters. The team won, that's it !

It is easy to write sitting in AC room, but the players know how difficult it is...

agreed. ausis is the weakest team. dont think ind has got better after being beaten fully by eng team on our own soil.

thre is use. he could still give a fight till end.Not like India when whitewashed in aus with no fight.
Also aus team is too weak for indian conditions & also umpire is favouring india. One dcesion of phil huges changed the match
clark is far better captain & bastman than MSDS

That is not the truth

If that be the case, why he did not give strike to Sachin? That means he wanted a draw and he wanted to make sure that others do not try for win! That was why he played 25 deliveries without giving strike to Sachin! His intentions failed when Sachin hit a four when he got strike and Jadeja hit two boundaries and Australia just panicked and gave him runs on the onside!

Dear Rediff and co
We won, we did wat we could. Its different to sit in a room and analyze what we can do against getting into action and seeing what we can actually do.

there is impact of one day and t20 on test cricket always now but in golden old days don bradman played his test match like t20 style he score 300 in a day by lunch time 100 by tea time 200 stumps 300 hence to make all tests result oriented grass is to be introduced

The simplest thing was to take a single and give strike to Sachin. He did not want to take a chance to allow others to try for victory.
