dravid laxman and sachin are great players and have served indian team well. Tendulkar has played for 23 years and its an achievement by itself. His presence is a great help to the juniors in the dressing room and sachin will retire when he feels right.

tendulkar wants to supply drinks even if selectors fail to select him in next 20 yrs. He wants to die on the pitch one day and cremated at batting track. Words cannot identify his commitment 4 cricket

lancy u are talking about your brother fake solid singh alias wc of pak. you are absolutely right.
whenever he looses, the bowlers, the seniors, the pitch, the weather and the spectators would be the factors to blame, when actually blocking point is his freakal mind. Thats why India didnt remain on No.1 for long, you have to be ruthless and less worry about other factors than the win.

the fact is that he wins another Test series against a Top side in world cricket. and adds to his enviable list of achievements. He already the most successful captian india has produced for all times and in all forms of the game.

Hebbar, Its just our slave mentality showing up. Being judgemental and cynical about everything under the sky.
Re: Why was Dhoni chasing a draw?

exactly thats why he could not leave his Winning habbit even though he initially chased a draw he was destined to score the winning runs for india.

Actually he tries to play to the media. After all his paid commentators like Ravi, Sunil, LS, etc are sitting in the commentary box praising him, no matter what.

I have to admit one thing that Dhoni has the knack of coming out early in situations when the hard work has been done by others and he scores the winning runs. Same happened in 2011 WC final where virat and Gambhir did all the hard work.
even if ind wins 4-0 against the weakest ausis team, that cant wipe out the agony of 8-0 whitewash with our full fledged best team n so-called world class batters playing in the series against eng n ausi.
even the so-called kings at home were defeated against the eng team on our den.
ind won against the weak ausis is good but not the best thing.

You say Australia is weak because their top players Ponting and Hussey has retired. But the same is true for India also as their top test players Dravid and Laxman have retired.

Can't wipe out the agony of 8-0 is true. But 4-0 against has to be there to prove that India is far superior to this Australian team. They should have defeated Eng at home by the same margin. But Capt wanted dust bowls and it backfired!
An frank statement by the Indian captain. There was no need for him to disclose that he was tempted to play for a draw. The fact that he did reflects positively on his character and reinforces my impression of him as an honest & upfront leader. Congrats to the Indian team on the victory. Now let’s go for 4-0 & see off this series in style!

he is a confident captain and keeps his head cool. it would have been foolishness to lose this match going for a win

Playing for draw is a different issue. Not being able to connect and without even trying to rotate the strike was definitely with different intentions. That Tendulkar was scoring at run a ball in the same pitch meant he should have tried that, if he was sincere.

We can all sit in front of the TV or laptop and speculate about what exactly happened. But given that most of us have never tasted the heat of sporting battle at the most elite of levels and the pressure that goes with it we will never understand what it is really like to be out there when decisions have to be made in a snap. I would suggest that we just celebrate this victory, not waste time second-guessing players’ intentions and move on. A win is a win is a win!

he waited for the right moment to charge and not loose his wicket trying to hit as soon as he came to crease. He did score the runs and showed he is as sincere or more sincere than sachin who got run out.
Dhoni is called captain cool.Realising that the wicket was taking a turn and 4 wickets were down,he decided to put the breaks for the run chase .That was a very cautious approach. When the situation improved he decided to launch the attack and register a victory.Very well done MSD!!!

It is not right to call him 31 shameless and useless cricketer. He brought glory to India in numerous occasion through his unparallelled batting. While batting today he must have thought India can't win if he continues. So he made himself out to make way for Jadeja. It clicked as it was bound to. I think 1200 millions heaved a sigh of relief when he was out. We must appreciate this.
