Brought Cricket to Nadir of corruption .Where is the essential elements of Technique and skill -they are one .Biggest element is corruption at all level thanks to IPL the game has become a cheaters paradise
20 overs cricket has destroyed not only batting, but also the entire attitude of players. It has corrupted the values and is a key factor of rampant commercialism in the cricket world.
T20 cricket has certainly destroyed the structure of Cricket. Just tell me WHEN can one see a field setting (for Fast Bowlers) like 4 slips & 2 gullies?????????? It's a PITY. TEST cricket is TEST cricket after-all. Just that they should be made result oriented. Only then can we see stylish players lie G.R. Vishwanath, Sunil Gavaskar & Mohinder Amarnath.
I certainly agree that T20 is ruining the players game. T20 game is anyone's and does not require special skills except "slam bang". Test cricket is where the actual talent of a player is measured. T20 is spoiling the game of budding players.
t 20 is okay, but where have those closing catches gone.. bouncers gone ... style gone.. continuous fast bowling gone... continuous marathon spinners gone.. one batsman who saves all the team by scoring a single hundred gone.. diving slip catches gone... those sweating fielding gone... test cricket is actual cricket.. those were the days when stadiums were full to see test cricket... ranjhi or daleep trophies....

Maybe it is time to innovate further! t20 for Slam Bang cricket in the evening 50 over ODI for a day or day/night game
and even Test Cricket could be made a faster & sleeker 3 day event with say 100 overs allotted to each team for the first innings and a 50over each team final day to ensure thrills and a result!
The only thing constant about change is CHANGE itself!
I don't really think that it has anything to do with T20 or one day cricket.. it has to be the temperament coz we do have some really fine batsman who are doing well in all formats like Gambhir, kohli, dawan, pujara, kalis, misbah.. Dravid/Tendulkar/Gaguly has shown his metal in all 3 formats the only connection might be that the blowers are used to bowl in such a dead conditions that moment they get some help from pitch/conditions they become lethal.
In fact It is Fixing and cheating which has ruined all types of format of Cricket. Nobody knows who is playing for the country and who has fixed the game.
Offcourse the short format of T-20 has runied the techniclity of cricket, no doubt one team will win but see the victory is a combination of techinic and skill or it is simply domination of power.How many batsmen of today's time can be comapred with Clive Lloyid,MA Padtdi, Gavaskar,Javid Miadad, Zaheer Abas, Vishunath, Chapal brothers, Poniting, lara, mahinder amarnath, Inzam, Arvind Desliva,Azharudin, Vivian Richard, Desmons Hanze, Richi Richardson,Gefeery bicot, Tony Greak, Gooch, Hansi crownia,Jhon writ, somes of these cricketers played cricket without healmit or with minimum safty because either these were not invented at that time or of inferior quality as compare to todays tools.
