Regional balancing
by Jomesh George on Jan 22, 2013 02:47 PM

The australian and carribean T20 leagues are just over now. What i understood from these leagues is that only players of the certain region are representing the team belongs to that region. For eg Chris Gayle and Samuels are representing Jamaica,Chanderpaul representing Gayana,Keiron Pollard,Narine,Bravos playing for Trinidad.IPL also should follow the same.Presently only CSK is maintaining a regional balance by playing M Vijay,Badri,Aswin,Anirudha etc. who are from chennai.

Good move for RCB
by Bharath karthik on Jan 22, 2013 10:45 AM  | Hide replies

Kumble did nothing for RCB as a mentor. in fact he dismantled a team which had reached finals one time in IPL and one time in CL. The current team lost to Hydb a team which was considered as the lowest ranking team in the IPL. The loss ensured that RCB does not reach semifinals and will not qualify for CL. With all respect to him he is one of the greatest bowler india has ever produced.

Perhaps the software managed by his firm needs to be fixed for better match analysis.

Someone numbskull below thinks that he is a good mentor because he is an engineer.

Even if a Doon school boy had been allowed to bowl as long as kumble was allowed he would have got the same number of wickets ..not to mention umpire jayaprakashs contribution of 10 to the tally

Will Mallya spin off RCB now?
by Ravi on Jan 22, 2013 08:54 AM  | Hide replies

Wonder what Kumble would do as a mentor for Mumbai Indians- which already has Tendulkar.

Something is really fishy here.

Tendulkar is not an engineer.

Does it mean he cannot plan things?

I think this is the mentality of all Engineers, they think they can solve anything, which is next to impossible The same thing is with Chartered Accountants, they think Thief who ever sitting infront of him when auditing.

Do Indians even know what those fancy words like honour, pride, Sir mean?

These days every sportsperson and celebrity uses them without any second thoughts.

Sounds very funny as a reader.

Ghavri could hardly spin the ball. And he would resort to try spinning when he so called pace bowling was being whacked all over the field.

Ghavri had a very good bouncer and had managed to get a few international batsmen retired hurt. Can Kumble bowl bouncers?

Kumble as MI's captain
by B M on Jan 22, 2013 07:19 AM  | Hide replies

Make Kumble MI's captain instead of Bhajji. He will outperform Bhajji both, as a bowler and a captain.

Get Ganguly & Kumble both as batsman and bowling coaches as they will make a good team to motivate our new young generation of cricketers as well as our spin section will improve.
