Where did he bat?. He got first ball out in kotla. Failed in Kolkata. In both cases he was promoted in the batting order! Don't project him as a batsman for heaven's sake.

Have you noticed the guy has a stiff body too. His hips don't move. Jokes apart he will never make a great spinner if he doesn't overcome this problem.

The main reason was Dhoni's uninspiring captaincy and lack of communication with many of his players. Further, the performance of Ashwin, Gambhir(bewildered), Kohli (indisciplined stroke selection at crucial times), Rohit (no clues to ODI batting), Raina(bad shot selection, all of them need to be rested for a series. Let other players waiting for their chance, go and prove themselves, then only shall we have better team.

RIGHT ,THE MORE TALENTED PLAYERS LIKE MURLI VIJAY , AMBATI RAYUDU, MANOJ TIWARY , ABHISHEK NAYAR ARE JUST SITTING ON THE BENCH TO HEAT THEIR SITS . WHY CAN OUR SELECTORS NOT BE RUTHLESS WHILE TAKING ACTION AGAINST FAULTY PLAYERS WHY DOES THEY NOT FOLLOW CRICKET AUSTRALIA.

How has Dhoni to inspire his team when the batsmen are falling like nine pins. Has he to start a coaching class and teach them how to bat??

What about Dhoni
by AdinGoyyale on Jan 08, 2013 11:00 AM  | Hide replies

As a captain he failed miserably in 2012. If ICC has to award the best non performing captain, it should go to this selfish guy. If he really wanted to lead the team, he should have promoted himself up the order. His team composition, bowling changes, field placements were horrible. Thanks to Pakis throwing the last one day, he survived his captaincy and also held on to his chamchas Ashwin, Rohit and Jadeja

even with less wickets still ashwin survives reason is he batting better than top 5 in crucial situations. its shame for batting side to depend on bowler to bat. if top 5 batted well in all games..sure he need to rested for one series so he will concentrate in wickets.

there was one point of time in indian cricket where pathan scored more than sehwag, and sehwag took more wickets than pathan. do you know what happened? both were dropped for a series or two.

Result: Sehwag's batting & Irfan's bowling became normal.

Ashwin was slected for his bowling not batting. If the selectors and Srini feels otherwiase, let them declare openly that Ashwin is slected for his batting not for his bowling. Let him bat at 3 o4 or 5.

yes he selected for bowling. he should be tried in top when openers fails to see his strength, and if he fails in that position sure he is no use without wickets.

Gambhir's reactions have slowed down, ever since he sustained an injury on his head in England last year. His loss of form may be temporary, but Rohit Sharma has finished even the quota of the proverbial nine lives of the Cat.
