shame on Shastri
by abhishek singh on Feb 17, 2013 11:09 PM  | Hide replies

I had huge respect for Shastri as a commentator. But it seems he is having big player mania.Sachin is greatest cricketer india produced. But he is on verge of losing all respect for his selfishness.People talked of Bharat Ratna to hin,now people want him to leave at any cost. That's what happens if u do not retire on time.Sachin should have timed like warne, macgrath, steve waugh etc.Instead he chose path of humilation and abuse.

Abhishek Singh, sorry to tell you this but your first sentence shows how foolish you are. And what follows the first sentence compliments what you are :)

When India tour SA...
by Mahendra on Feb 17, 2013 10:34 PM  | Hide replies

India playing Aus on home soil doesn't carry much weight..

mainly bcoz aussies have lost almost a team of world class players to retirement and the new kids on the block are yet to get used to the sub-continent conditions....

India's real test will come when we tour SA...
Will Shastri have the guts to say the same words for Sachin ( if he still happens to be around ) remains to be seen....

If India play 4 tests in SA, we will lose 4-0 out of which I reckon at least a couple of tests will be by way of innings defeat...
And yes presence or absence of sachin will hardly make any difference....

I bet after the tour of SA, India won't feel like playing test cricket anymore....

Yes. Presence of Clarke hardly matters at all.

still d best bet??

Sorry Shastri, I feel lack of mind in your statement claiming SRT to be the best bet in the Indian team even today. May be the statement would have held true a couple of years ago. In the entire series if SRT manages a fifty or two would be a great achievement.

As usual he will be an utter failure again. Our selectors are all a bunch of imbecile people or they have been bribed well enough and corrupt as usual.

Shastri is out of his mind...
by Jaguar on Feb 17, 2013 08:57 PM  | Hide replies

What is he talking about ? His performaces against NZ & England in the home series is a clear indictaion that he's done for the day.. The series against the Aussie is just another desperate attempt for the batting great. I do hope SRT gets a plenty of runs aganist his favt rival but lets be honest.. Ranji trophy is a sub standard cricket and we all know that.
