Without voluntarily retiring this shameless leech denied opportunities for many young/talented cricket players in India.

what a joke !!!!
by Sadhashiv on Feb 15, 2013 11:42 AM  | Hide replies

the title of the article is quite funny...

how can a player be expected to perform at international levels based on their performance in ranji or irani games ???

going by the same logic, ravindra jadeja had recently hit two triple tons in ranji. but in international cricket he was found wanting..

tendulkar is a cricketer who is well past his prime. with declining form and advancing age he will be made mincemeat of.

the best time for tendulkar to bow out from all forms of the game on a high was after the victory in WC 2011... that he chose to play on (G_o_d knows for what reason ) will only come back to haunt him and rather than bowing out on a high, he would have a rather poor exit, thus besmirching, an illustrious career...

Of course Pattison or any Australian would want Tendulkar in the team. That means one wicket is guaranteed the moment he comes to crease.

England also maintained the same strategy. They talked high of him and each time our selectors fell for the trick. And each time he went to the wicket and returned in a few minutes !!
