no need.

all this hype created around a single individual is meaningless in a team game.

aussies know it very well that sachin has hardly ever won a game single handedly and these days with decling form and advancing age, he could be the last person to win a game for India...

I think all this talk about sachin, is just to create some frenzy (for the crazy indian fans) b4 the test starts so that they could kindle some interest in this dying game...

Dear Sadashiv,
No one win matches single handedly. Its a team work. If you have been following cricket you must have known that SRT scored great175and143 vsAus,136vsPak but on all these occasions team lost, because an individual SRT stood alone and rest of the team failed :)

Even VVS281 was not a match won siglehandedly, as he got support from Dravid.

Dravids doublecentury in aus wasnt a match won singlehandedly, as agarkars outsatnding bowling was an equal great effort :)

vvs 281 will go to waste if certain bowler did not take 3 vital wickets...

Sad Ashiv:

Please define "single handedly"... ;-)
If what you say is true, then we can have INDIVIDUALS playing cricket instead of Teams... no? :)

You are right guys, but I think what he means is his percentage of staying unbeaten when India wins is low. Like he ensured we went over the line against England while chasing 387, he hasnt done it too many times.

Kelkar:

Why should someone remain "unbeaten" to make India win matches?
I mean our bowlers should take 20 wickets to win; but they can't remain "unbeaten" can they? ;-)

He will score also no use ful already he reaches maximum runs and 100’s stage only thing other batsman do not wait for sachin performance and captain also do not depend on sachin if he will play it is better but do not depend on him.

Why do you want ANYONE to perform in Team India? It's going to be no use as you rightly pointed out.. ;-)

why every series someone says something about tendulkar..its not a one man team. runs can come from anywhere...how does it matter to the aus team if sachin don't score, someone else scores..

Absolutely agree...

We all should talk about how average Indian players are, and how worthless our team is... :)

Dont spend too much time on that, He himself ensure you that he will not score more than 10-20 runs in each innings. Relax. You invest your energy to tackle Spin bowling, Puajara and Kohli.
