NO ONE IS BETTER THAN SACHIN
by Karthik Selva on Dec 26, 2013 11:23 AM

SOME ONE SAYS, KALLIS HAS 44 TONS OUT OF 165 AGAINST TENDULKAR'S 51 OF 200. WHY CAN'T KALLIS GO FOR A 200 AND 52. COS' HE'S NOT SACHIN.

More tons on percentage terms and number of wickets are huge. And against strong opponents. He is the best all rounder and most valuable cricketer in the last 2 decades.

Thats because Kallis played for South Africa which was always a better unit as a team. Tendulkar played for India which was a cr@ppy team all 90s. U cant compare these 2 players at all. Kallis is a better all rounder and Sachin a better batsman.

Kallis alone as a batsman has better record than tendulkar
by bhartendu sood on Dec 25, 2013 07:14 PM  | Hide replies

Two retirments world apart. Though Kallis alone as a batsman has better batting record than tendulkar. forget about his 300 wickets. Kallis average 55 is better than tendulkar's 53 and his runs per test at 80.5 are also bette than tendulkar 79.7

Go deeper and you will find that before two years i.e. when Sachin slump started he averaged over 56. Sachin continued his slum form and stick in team whereas Kallis leaving the game when he was good so his average has not gone down. Anyway both are excellent Brand Amasador cricket. They are Humble and true Icon of cricket.

Sachin will be greatly relieved
by biswanath roy on Dec 25, 2013 05:08 PM  | Hide replies

This news will bring great relief to Sachin, because his test record of runs was in reaching distance of Kallis. Had reverse been the case Sachin would have played till he broke the record, irrespective of how many matches he took, and sploit the careers of many budding players.

Your statistics is incorrect. Kallis could have matched or overtaken on No. of Centuries but not on runs scored. Kallis is pretty close to many milestones (14k runs and 300 wickets in tests). But sadly he is being pressurised into retiring by SA. Wish him a good last test match.
