rohit sharma leaving 12 straight deleiveries from steyn without even touching the ball , sums it all this from a player who hit a double hundred in odi in india ,indian team are paper tigers overseas , rest they are surely losing 3 -0 ,

My two cents
by Shikari Shambu on Dec 06, 2013 01:54 PM  | Hide replies

As usual, a wakeup call for the #1 side who never lived upto their hype yesterday (except Dhoni). You need pace and aggression to bowl on pitches like SA, not anybody like a Mohit Sharma (virtually unheard club-class bowler).

And it takes JIGRA to play bowlers like Steyn in their pitches with the new ball, something that SRT/Sehwag/Gambhir did quite well I feel (ofcourse in their good-old-days). The first 14balls face by NoHit Sharma of Steyn proved how afraid he was to play shots (TALENTkiMAAKIaankh) on real pitches. However, the only persons who looked to take the score upto 250 (atleast) seemed Kohli & Dhoni.

This is not a flat track series like how Ind-Aus or Ind-Eng was last year, to say "From the next match we willfuck SA".. ChutiyoUtho.. India never played any practice match, NOT EVEN AGAINST BALL BOYS OF SA. This can be used as an excuse to defend their loss instead of facing the reality.. Who asked BCCI to arrange an ODI series with useless WI team? Was it a farewell for a person who retired from ODIs an year ago?

NOTHING TO WORRY .
by Shilpa Mehta on Dec 06, 2013 12:23 PM  | Hide replies

ITS JUST A MATTER OF TIME .
No team can win all the games . Still Team India can win remaining two matches
& win the series .
Same thing happened in recent AUS series also , we lost first ODI but went on the win
the series . Team India is well known to make a strong come back .
Only matter of concern is that our pace bowling attack is comparitively weaker
than SA attack .

It does not matter, Shilpa Mehta is used to playing Book cricket where words like "pitch", "weather" and "class" have no relevance.

As every body expected Indian teams performance proved that it can do some wonders only at home. Then how can it b called as no 1 team .I have been repeatedly writing in this column since 6 months or so that we have to wait till this series. As i have expected the Indian team cannot deliver the goods outside the country. They cannot wag their tail outside the country.

Uday, you bring in anybody, the result will be the same. We need HOME Pitches OR BCCI should ARRANGE things for our Victory!
An Ultimatum from BCCI President to SA Cricket Board and watch the change in Fortune!

Dhoni is not idiot mr uday..but his bowlers are wayward, certainly not his mistake. both sehwag and may be to certain gauti are in good form so no use of bringing them in..rohit sharma / s dhawan are equally good..ashwin is most successful besides a useful fat..so mind it..

Nothing went wrong. We can't win each every match. This teak is capable of beating SA and just they have to carry on. Y'day Dhoni should have been batted first. Kohli's wicket was turning point of the game.

First the players did not get enough time to acclimatize the conditions. Because Indians went straight away from a Home series and did not get match practice. It was expected. Same will apply to SA when they tour India and if we give them a spin friendly pitch. So wait and watch, we can beat with this team but bowlers Mohit n Bhuvaneshwar not good enough in these bouncy pitches.

yesterday it was a fastbowlers pitch as we could see Rohit & shikhar were struggling to get the runs.Especially with rohit where he could not touch the ball of the bowling of Dale Steyn.Infact he has maintained the line & length perfectly without giving any room for the batsman to hit or even to touch the ball.
