our legend 10dulkar. So why be he included in the team. In our indian team legends always fail when mostly needed. And tendulkar is one such who always failed at crucial times . No one is sure whether he will make 50 or duck.

You Idiot... Do you know more than 4 great innings of VVS Laxman, he was good batsman but never great.
Yes, Dravid was an asset for Indian team.
But you need to know that how many matches India have won before the inclusion of Sachin or even how many matches India have won in absence of Sachin till date, after seeing those statistics, I am sure that you will keep shut your mouth for ever.
We should form an alternate XI incuding Tendulkar, Dravid, Kumble, Marshal, Lara,Wasim Akram .... etc and this XII will easily clip the wings of Bird's XI
Why are people fuming over Umpire Birds team. He is entitled to his belief because he has seen all these people very close ! AND he is right, I believe Bradman is just a man of numbers who played against bunny bowers and in very less matches and notched up those centuries ! He is not such a legend all make him to be. And the next is Tendulkar, he is not even fit to carry Richards or Sobers Shoes. Tendulakr is a big bundle of garbage India is carrying, has played pedominantly in tiny Indian grounds and flat pitches and highly selfish ! My only correction 2 this team would have been Gilchrist instead of Knott and another WI pacer instead of Gibbs ! ...But all these so called GREAT Indian 's need not get so personal ..everyone has a right 2 choose and decide

If Don Bradman had faced only bunny bowlers, we would have had atleast a dozen Don Bradmans in his time. Why wasn't that so? Don played against some of the best quick bowlers without much protection and on uncovered wickets. And you say omiting Don was justified? How ignorant? And I guess Bird leaves out SRT because at the slot of No.4, he would have feld greg chappel to be better as he had not seen enough of SRT of or Brian Lara. Similarly even thoush Murli has taken more wickets than Warne, Bird would have thought that Murli's action wasn't the most perfect. So from what he has seen from close quarters, he has selected his 11. So it is ok. In his time, Dickie was one of the best umpires with players all over the world respecting him. So let us him his due, mate.

oh who were the best fast fast bowlers during bradmans time..please name ! ur a big jerk ...the only series when Larwood was firing ..this Don was having wet pants !! Look during that time only australia and england were accepted teams . India has justr started and so were other countries. Most of the english bowlers were hobbits

fully agree with u. Sachin was a great failure abroad except zimbabwe kenya bdesh.
...always played for personal scores and records ...carefully garnering runs to add to his kitty...the last time he was alive to a match situation was in sharjah some 35 years ago
no bias in this defenitely .. whats all the hue and cry in leaving out sachin here.. this list features the best players he has seen from close quarters.
