India scored a massive victory of 23 runs over one of the strongest team, Afghanistan. Batting first, India scored a mammoth total of 159 runs, for loss of just 5 wickets. In reply, Afghanistan could make a paltry 136 runs. India's image has enhanced tremendously due to the great victory.

"Today, we dropped four catches and those who dropped them are our top fielders. The more we play the better we would get," Khan said.

How can that be improved playing more international matches? Practice hard and more. When South Africa returned back from isolation in 1991-92, they were already a super fit team that showed how fielding should be done. Remember Jonty's run-out of Inzamam in 1992 WC.

Afghanistan v/s India

India was struggling to score runs against the inexperienced Afghan Team. This does not boost our confidence in the Team.India may not even qualify for the semifinal birth!Bowling is mediocre and batting in inconsistant.Australia,England S.A.and N.Z. may be the top four teams in the tournament.

Difficult times
by Aditya Misra on Sep 20, 2012 02:55 PM

It is a known fact. Human beings excel when they are in crisis. The Afghans are facing multiple crises and that is why they are united. When Indians face external dangers and crises, they too get united, all of themn under one umbrella, and face the opponents. For a long time now India has been very strong. The players do not have to struggle at all.. their future is secure and that is why they have free bytes in their minds to play tricks and politics within the team.. Well done Afghanistan, we hope you join the first rankers in cricket.
