Hats off to Mr Kabir. He is absolutely right when he said that had the Afghanistanis played a bit sensible game they would have toppled the Indians in the opener. Definitely they need experience.Do not worry Kabir-take for example the Srilankans-see their game today and some 20 years back when they were baptised into Test Cricket. Your team also will improve tremendously as they play more games- because maturity requires time. Good Luck Mr Kabir Khan.
It is unforgetable truth that these three can do wonders for India. Only Lakshman retired but still we have the golden ducks Badri and Sachin with us. Does Srikanth will look out of this for the dream of billon heart and minds ????

@Rama...Evan In his peak period of time srikanth would not be consider in the current indian team.Only if srinivasan involve himself then he can be captain of india. back door entry for south indian
wasim Akram is the only bowler who can bowl all 6 deliveries in 6 different ways.He once said that Srikanth is the only batsman in the world who can play 6 different stokes for all the 6 deliveries in one over

Srikanth not only smashed Akram but he smashed the dreams of many devastating bowlers. No body can beat the skill of our Srikanth and Sachin.

when sachin played under srikanth, he blossomed. he learnt the cricket skills from kris

The tips given to our Sachin by our Srikanth is still most valuable. Sachin started his career only under our Srikanth leading our team India. Surely both Sachin and Srikanth are stalwarts of Cricket.

It was wonderful to watch Afghan team play yesterday. They played wonderfully well, A country completely ravaged by war, violence for past many decades. Atleast, many of these players might have experienced the violence in form of loosing their near and dear ones in the war.. The spirit they have shown in the field is commendable. Afghan, the warriors, certainly capable of producing a good team.. Atleast they can produce better fast bowlers than india has at the moment. Let Afghan do well in Cricket - Let Cricket be the messanger of peace for their country.

During Srikanth's peak period, even Imran khan was afraid to bowl to him. that were the golden days in Indian cricket

dont see centuries. see the boldness. see the bowlers he faced. Imran, marshal, Holding, Joel Garner, Andy roberts, Thomson,Lille, Hadlee,Bob willis.. veeru cannot face those bowlers ...

Badrinath is a wonderful player. But he is getting the chances. He will replace Sachin in test in future

It is not Indian team but South Indian team. I think BCCI head Srinivasan also need to include on the side as he is also from south.

Badri at this stage should be the vice captain of team India. He is having amazing talent. Its not Dhoni's mistake but our Krish Srikanth sould reconsider to bring in Badrinath.

@rama. Typical narrow tamil mentality.srikanth is no more a selector. The days of tamil bais is over.. badrinath is not going to be selected soon. hope the new selector is broad minded and looks for talent not language.

Veeru should be dropped. Either Murali vijay or Rahane should come in. Instead of Rohit sharma, Badrinath; In place of Pathan , Bajari should play

Ranga, its up to the hands of our Krishnamachari to pick dream batsmen like Badri into the squad.Somebody is behind to exclude the talented Badrnath i guess.

Afghan bowlers played well. They bowled better than indian team bowlers.Since our team batting line up is good, it came up Afghan batting is not upto the mark. Otherwise once again we will lose how we lost in the practise match against PAK
Re: Wonder why we have to play against Afghanistan
by Rama Iyer on Sep 20, 2012 03:47 PM
No we should not feel such feelings to play against smaller team even though yesterdays match is a miracle escape. It is because only missing players like Sachin, Badrinath.
