one swallo does not make summer, like one failure does not makes us losers...in fact losing at this time is a good thing..it will wake up the team from lethargy and induct more energy..
it is heartening to learn that arrogant sehwag is injured. he should be replaced by talented and dashing murali vijay. the team shoud be Murali vijay gambhur raina yuvraj kohli dhoni tiwary irfan ashwin balaji zaheer

No vijay, Balaji, Ashwin to Sri Lanka. They may get the same treatment the foot ball team and the christian pilgrims from Sri Lanka got in TN recently !
Re: If Dhoni insist on rotation policy .....
by balaefx on Sep 13, 2012 05:09 PM
he is ready for rotation- even he need some rest - since has already earned all the money and fame - and achieved everying what other cannot achive
kohli came as opener but not finished the match, is he not match winner, how fool not watching cricket fans always criticise sachin, SACHIN PLAYED MANY MANY INNINGS LIKE THIS, WHERE ENTIRE BATTING STRENGTH IS WEAK. KOHLI NOT FINISHED MATCH, EVEN HE IS HAVING GOOD TEAM AND PLAYERS.
Re: sachin bashers-KOHILI NOT FINISHED THE MATCH
by Anurag Rathore on Sep 13, 2012 12:21 PM
Kohli did his job perfectly. It's Yuvi who couldn't finish the game. He got out at very crucial stage. It wasted one ball and put the pressure on new batsman.
Re: Re: sachin bashers-KOHILI NOT FINISHED THE MATCH

LOLZ, The new batsman (Sir Rohit Sharma) scored 4 from 2 deliveries.
BTW, Dhoni's also wasted 1 ball (22 from 23). A cancer-return patient could slam 34 of 26.... Yet he is blamed for not finishing the match :)
And it was real foolishness to send an out-of-form Rohit Sharma when 4 was needed from 2. And Ashwin's 3-0-34-0 was a match winning effort right?

kuttyjji where does ashwin come into the discussion...it rarely happens that all bowlers have good figures...pick up any match of any country///there will be at least 1 or 2 bowlers who were hit...so? whats the big deal? that does not make the bowler useless...similarly like failing in one odd inning does not make him a failure...if that were so all batsmen would get 50s or 100s in every match and bowlers will get 3 or 4 wickets in all matches...really kutty is it a realistic expectation?
Re: Re: Re: sachin bashers-KOHILI NOT FINISHED THE MATCH

We indians are emotional. I know Yuvi returned. My point is Yuvi and dhoni were set batsman at the crease at the end so it was their responsibility to finish the match. Yuvi got out at very wrong time. Dhoni was at non-strike end. Thats why I said it was Yuvi who couldn't finish it. Dhoni as a batsman was responsible for lose but it's a different discussion.

i think Dhoni is the reason for playing slowly which gambhir raised the point several times

It can happen to any team when chasing, specially when your claimed "set batsmen" have wasted so many deliveries when needed. Hope they will learn not to take the match till the last over.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: sachin bashers-KOHILI NOT FINISHED THE MATCH
by Sunil Vaidya on Sep 13, 2012 04:21 PM
too much is said about taking match to the last over...so you would rather prefer that we hit as many as we can and get all out before the stipulated overs...that has happened to many times...instead of making 12 runs in one over and getting out there is a lot of sense in keeping wickets intact with the strike rate in control...
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: sachin bashers-KOHILI NOT FINISHED THE MATCH
by indiefriend on Sep 13, 2012 08:52 PM
sunilji is right....we should preserve all wickets till the last over and score 36 of that! What an analysis by the brain-dead!
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: sachin bashers-KOHILI NOT FINISHED THE MATCH
by Sunil Vaidya on Sep 17, 2012 06:46 AM
indiefriend, i said keeping wickets intact is important with the strike rate in control...it is only dumb idiots who think that 36 runs should be left to made in the last over...:)
you would rather prefer we score 12 runs in each over never mind if we lose a wicket or two in that process...you would rather prefer that we be all out on 120 and lose very early so that spectators can live early and can get a good night's sleep...what an analysis by the brain-dead! :)
Re: Re: V.Sehwag...
by Anurag Rathore on Sep 13, 2012 12:01 PM
Rotation and Injury are two different things. It's not first time when Sehwag hid his injury. He is used to do this just before a big event.
Re: Re: Re: V.Sehwag...
by Kutty on Sep 13, 2012 12:12 PM
Remember Asia cup where Sehwag was not picked citing fitness reasons?? Srikkant said it was sore shoulders and Sehwag himself said back problem..... There are some points which cannot be disclosed :)
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: V.Sehwag...
by Kutty on Sep 13, 2012 12:20 PM
Could be true. But when Srikkant has a different version than Sehwag, it is always unclear what has happened behind the iron curtain.
I am not surprised if Tiwary is dropped and Sir Rohit Sharma selected :)

Dhoni has to bat well first. He spoiled Chennai 20-20 with his poor batting. We need somebody like Kohli to carry on.
