Go on Sachin
by Venkatesh Umapathy on Sep 14, 2012 09:39 AM

Every time there was speculation about his form Sachin simply let his bat do the talking. The master blaster can never be at the mercy of selectors. The expectations are unfairly hiked whenever he come out to bat. I am sure he will complete 200 tests and 500 ODI's . This time perhaps having got into the Raja Sabha had temporarily dimmed his faculties. I am sure he will come over it.

yes..only sachin and his ad agents decide when he should retire!!
by jeevan shetty on Sep 14, 2012 09:37 AM  | Hide replies

its the time all the citizen of india collect rs. 1 each and hand it over to sachin's managers. this will , i hope, compensate to the losses he may incur due to retirement from cricket. the only thing which stops sachin from retirement the pressure from the advertisement contracts... whole world knows it, but nobody dares to discuss it in open.

Exhibition Match ???
by Jaiho on Sep 14, 2012 09:01 AM  | Hide replies

The match in which Sachin hit Quadir for 4 sixes was converted into an exhibition match because Pakistan lost. It was made so after the result in the match.

Sensible? Utter nonsense. Sachin may have been a good player of the past years. This does not make him a perpetual player, even after he has lost the magic touch. Why should we leave his retirement to himself? Was not Ganguly a great player? Did the selectors leave his retirement to himself? By leaving the retirement to Sachin himself, people are idolising him, losing their commonsense and the selectors are abdicating their position to an individual who is struggling still. Past performance is no guarantee for future. Potential is more important than past records.
