lanka is going to finals due to fluke and luck. thanks to umpires and dropped catches. their good time is over now.

jamshed nasir was not out in t20 semis. bond(NZ) dropped sitter in 2007 wc semis against jayawardane.

you can say lankans are good cricketers, they not better than india not by any yardstick..defending sri lanka is good but praising them too much is too bad..lanka lost the finals because they do not have any definite game plan, batsmen who could anchor the innings togeter and some top bowlers performed below par..

well said Venu. Malinga failed very badly this final. that is the main reason why west indies were able to get high score.
Bcoz WI never beat any team convincingly.Especially against SL WI lost by nine wkts and still won the title-reason-poor pitch condition -pitch favours first 20 overs -unfit for chasing-Australia ,Pak SL perished chasing who are all good teams -but the pitch is and drizzles in the evenings was the culprit.Iam sorry if Iam wrong -but dont comment vulgarly dear.
Jayavardhane, as a captain and all formats of cricket still u are the best, you did not show the kind of stress as a captain and played to your potential. I still feel either you or kumar could do best for srilankan cricket. Do not leave captaincy, it is evident after world cup next captain did not perform as a bastman. I urge you, you have capability to handle both at a time. Ok, win and defeat are two phases of coin and a player you should absorb it positively.
Developing Country Like India, Pakistan, Srilanka, Bangladesh should not waste much time and money on cricket. Focus on developing your skills in other games and also develop your country economically.
ethically sri lankan where wrong in thier part to have turning pitch for semis and finals.it was almost impossible to score runs in the second innings.pakistan lost the match just becoz it was almost difficult to bat on the pitch.but in the final jayawardene lost the toss and there he lost the match.they did thier level best to contain the west indies run rate but some where luck didnt support,as luck supports the good they say.samuels had the guts and his strong will to fight took the game away from srilanka.
