Bailey,Hafeez and Sammy
by priyankush ghosh on Oct 07, 2012 11:31 AM

If we have a look at these three captains which have made their teams through to the semis of this WT20..we will find that all of them have been able to bring out the best from their other super heroes in their team ..Bailey and Sammy are perhaps the least convincing players of their sides but what they have done remarkably well is to get the freedom and space to discuss with their coaching staff and team m,anagement about strategies to play well in different times in this tournament and make clever adjustments to their teams against differoff their ent oppositions.Performance wise they have allowed their super power stars to take all the pressure .Bailey was also succesful in playing a blinder of an innings in the semis which gave aussie fans something to cheer for thier team during the otherwise forgettable match because the captains performance always bring a smile to the cricket maniacs of a country and makes experts believe that the captain has the mettle to bring out his best in times of crisis..It was a splendid performance by bailey as it turned out to be one of the fastest fifties of the tournament.Hafeez unlike bailey and sammy has been consistent throughout the tournament and is counted as one of the match winners and stars of the pakistan team .Like bailey though he scored points in the losing semi final for his team and he looked by far the best pakistan batsman against the versatile srilankan bowlers. These are performances which MSD coundnt make us happy with

Aussies lost

The Aussies had lost the match because of Gayle. It is one freak batting performance. Then, the WI sledged Warner before he opened the innings and that must have affected his concentration a lot.

After all all is fair in love and war. The final would be won by Sri lanka. The stage has been set for that. Honesty in a cricket match is long since gone.

very happy that the Aussies lost. They purposely lost to Pakistan to prevent India from entering SF. Good.

WI is dependent on Gayle to a great extent, the same way Aus were on Watson

Gaylestorm

When i see Lara playing the flick shot across the line and raising his front leg it was a great feeling seeing the ball raising towards the boundary. But almost the same shot Chris Gayle is playing with less effort (or less footwork) the ball is disappeared to the stand and it is so breathtaking.if Bradman is arguably the greatest test batsman Viv Richards holds that position in ODI(If combine both definitely Sachin).Likewise we can say Chris Gayle is the greatest batsman in T20 Cricket.

True sportsmen... West Indies...

Very happy for the west indies cause of few things
1) Their cricketers are some of the strongest and powerful athletes over the years but never have they ever abused batsmen....nor give sharp words...or nast glances (like most australians )
2)Carrabean style needs revival and it feels so enjoyable to watch their brand of cricket...
3) A strong west Indies is extremely imp in world cricket.....
4) The arrogance of australians and Ian chappel and co...needed to be thrashed and wat a tharshing tey got....Gayle ur possibly the greatest striker the game has or will ever see !!!

CG certainly has a claim to being the greatest stiker of a cricket ball in present era. About all time greats, there are many including Clyde Walcott, Garfield Sobers and Normal ONeill.

True. Wonderful display by Gayle and WI team. Aussies got what they deserve. It will be nice to see two teams which earned their place in finals by their commitment and hard work.
