RAKESH DOGRA
x Factor Missing in Indian Team
by RAKESH DOGRA on Oct 03, 2012 03:18 PM

You need special players to win in T 20 Matches.Special means who can change course of the match on their own whetehr bowling or batting. We have none and see other teams.Lanka has Malinga and Mendis.Pakistan has Ajmal Westindis has Gayel and Suniel Narane.South Africa has Styne,Morkel and Devilers.Althogh they failed but they are a big force and will be real effective in other parts of the world other than subcontinent.Ausralia has Watson and their fast bowlers.India won more due to bad play by opponents and no real performance.Yes Virat Kohali played well but not like Gayle or Waston.

Dhoni said We failed to click as a team. True.
For this Dhoni himself is responsible.

How can this team win?

1) Have you seen Dhoni's face and his
body language on the field in the last two
matches, in spite of the first was won
against Pakistan?
2) Have you seen Dhoni talking to any of his
team mates during any match?
3) After the Aussies Pak match, it was well
known what India should do in its match
against SA. Did you see any gameplan or team
effort towards the goal during batting or
fielding sessions?
4) Did you not notice Dhoni's random changes in
bowling that used to fetch him results by
chance? Did you not notice regular key
bowlers kept guessing when King Dhoni will
throw the ball at them?
5) He had replaced explosive batting of Sehwag
by sending Pathan in Sehwag's place in
previous matches. Why did he come to bat
ahead of Pathan? Dhoni's fours could have
been replaced by Pathan's sixers.

Sack Dhoni or ask him to behave like a team man.Let him learn from Virat Kohli on the field.

discard gambhir and sehwag and break tihs caucus. both are giving calculated substandard performance just to stay in the team and take revenge. bring rahane tanmay singh spinner sardarji of junior team

Why not instead sack dhoni and give team a chance with Virat as captain for 10-15 matches !

By doing that, the dirty tactics and politics of Gauti/Sehwag would be rewarded.

to dethrone Dhoni out of captaincy , no one is talking about these 2 guys who do not play at all ...Dhoni along with captaincy he is doing execllent weeket keeping with so many caught & bowled ...he has single handedly win so many matches for India withoug thinking of his 50 or 100 like others in team...no wonder India is land of opportunist and thankless people

dhoni is the most overrated cricket player in the world, how many match winning innings he has played in England and australlia...he can play only against srilanka in sub continent wickets, his helicopter shot is ugliest shot in cricket book

Need complete overhaul
by NYY on Oct 03, 2012 02:17 PM

India need to seriously think abt different teams for different formats. Time to leave out Sehwag, Zaheer..etc out of th T20 format. Gambhir as one-day captain and Kohli for T20. Need to pack the T20 with youngsters like Umesh Yadav, Manoj Tiwary, Aaron, Unmukt..etc

TEAM INDIA VERY UNLUCKY
by prajyoth pradeep on Oct 03, 2012 01:52 PM  | Hide replies

Dhoni is a very modest person and when he speaks it is logical and correct. In the Australia match why would the spinners bowl short and against England why would they bowl the correct length and flight. It shows they did not have control over the grip. The rain did it for Australia. In twenty overs that is enough. One over can spoil the other team's momentum and give the opposite team the momentum. India is very unlucky to go out like this. They played very well from what I saw and should have had a place in the semis. Australia on the other hand is lucky, of course they bowled well but rain helped them in West Indies match and also against the Indians. Rediff readers and Indian fans do not be disappointed.... this means that there is something bigger for the Indian team around the corner.

Even without considering Afghanistan, we played 4 matches and won 3 of them. Not at all a bad performance.
