Yes! There was a time when most of us would not move away from the TVs, even to have (or pass) water, when Tendulkar used to be at the crease; but now we usually miss all his innings as they do not outlast the commercials!
May be Sachin pleaded Sandeep Patil to retain him for this series.Sachin must have assured to score 50 runs so that selector tension will be erased for another series.

That may be possible with two more tests remaining - he has already scored 29 runs in the first two tests (and mind you, he did not get to play in the second innings at A'bad, or else he would have crossed 35 by now)!

Yes, when he should actually be suggesting that we should select our team from amongst all living "legends"!!!!!!
a great cricketer like Sachin Sir to retire. Some people here say Badrinath deserve chance. He is equally old and fail in ranji trophy and because of Badrinath,Tamil Nadu lost and out of ranji trophy.
Some time back he had stated that " it will be selfish to retire as I am on top of my game & that I am a patriot blah blah.
Now that he has admitted that he is not getting runs , why does he not quit. Pure greed. Or is it that he is no longer a patriot.
He is surely not bigger than the game. BCCI , selectors & Tendulkar are taking Indian cricket & its fans for a big ride. SRT challenfging the selectors to drop him & not himself announcing the retirement , BCCI not being aware , Sunny Gavaskar now defending him.

The ransom chain!!!! Somebody with a huge brand value in the ad-world decides to hold his sponsors to ransom, demanding that they hold BCCI to ransom not to throw him out of the team! But it is very sad to see that this person does not seem to have any self-respect! 153 runs in 10 innings - even a specialist bowler would have resigned and gone home!
No one has got guts to ask Sachin to reconsider by Maihoon Don (View MyPage) on Nov 28, 2012 12:58 PM | Hide replies | Hide message
Sachin is an icon. He is beyond loss of form. He has gained the power to decide on his own terms when to call it a day. I am sure hewill take the correct decision considering the perfect behavior and standards he has set for himself over the years.
Till that time, the so called fans and all former cricketers like Gavaskar and Kapil can keep quiet and let the great icon decide on his own future.
