The worrying thing here is that in Australia and England we had a ready excuse that the ball was seaming, swinging, bouncing...all except talking and hence we could not win. Back in Nagpur, when Steyn pretty much ran all over the Indian team as he wanted, it was too much grass on the pitch that was the reason because we forgot to let the cows graze on the wicket before the match. But now...frankly...WHAT????? You have a turning track from day one on which Panesar and to an extent Swann made the Indian batting line up look like school boys who mistakenly had entered Wankhede instead of playing at the nearby Oval Maidan. But the spin trio of India could not even make the ball turn appreciably and fed the Englishmen backfoot lollypops. I was surprised that Cook and Pietersen did not ask for a chair and just plonk in the back of the crease and just play from there. So predictable was the bowling. This track might have made Bedi and Prasanna hunt for the mythical fountain of youth to have a go at the English...their mouths must have been salivating non-stop. Frankly I think even now, Bedi could have made that ball do the waltz and the calypso as per his command but three of the best spinners supposedly could not make the ball do diddly squat. Pathetic to the core...
Ganguly's analysis is better than Gavaskar at times. Very precise, terse and straight between the eyes. No wonder Ganguly was the best Indian captain till date.
Its very clear from the way he analysed the series so far.

Ganguly has a pretty ordinary cricketing brain.. donno from when on he had become an intellectual.. he was a pretty average batsman, and very tactically naive captain.. we are givin undue credit to him.. India's successes in his captiancy where due to the individual brilliance of few players and nothing else

I see...
I thought he was the one who made our players believe that they can win against arrogant Aussies and sly English teams.
I thought he was the one who groomed young talents and gave them the sense of security in the team.
I thought he was the one who realised that in a team sport like cricket individual brilliance doesn't help the team to win critical matches.
I wonder why all the Indian players still look upto him as the best captain they had played under till date. He was a great motivator for other players and his princely attitude did help in bringing that aggression amongst our players in field.
If all the above facts means nothing else to you then I think you have a long way to go at least w.r.t understanding the game of cricket.
This Ganguly guy's colors are now out. His priorities have changed now. Till recently, he was a staunch Harbhajan supporter. Now he wants Harbhajan removed and have someone from his home state (Dinda) drafted in. Ganguly has been pioneering for Dinda's case for long now. He is probably unhappy that not a single player from Bengal is playing for India on a decent basis. For Dinda, I would say Ishant Sharma is a far better option. Ishant might be wicketless, but he is less erratic than the 'high jumper' Dinda. Ganguly is overhyped! All this "Dada Dada" nonsense has given him too much high.

See Harbhajan was an ordinary club bowler in mumabi test copared to Panesar and swannn! shame a leggie was not played instead of harbhjan at mumbai!Dhoni should have played another batsman instead of harbhajan&used sehawg as a bowler!BCCI must drop allem dar and tony hillas onfield umpires since they were playing for the british team at Mumbai! If they are played agains at Kolkata india will be 2-1 down no doubt! All onfield umpires must lose their fees if they make mistakes and they must not be selected for future matches too, what a shame that BCCI is sleeping or colluding witht the match fixers!
Sir please do something for the team rather than sitting on the commentary box and yapping or on talk shows.
Indian team deserves this after producing batsmen after batsmen and treating its bowlers like leftovers preparing dead pitches. We look like a school team when playing abroad. Our pace bowlers are equivalent to slow medium pace and instill no fear. Zaks is past his prime just playing till he gets kicked out.
BCCI grooming team for future?? I doubt it, how many fast bowlers do we have in our ranks and substitutes.World cup 2015 is in Australia. India please keep on playing IPL and in the subcontinent where masses rejoice when you score centuries over centuries and heap praises on your genius.

I have seen that TV show live. All the points he made were brief and to the point. To me he is the only Indian captain with born leadership skills. Critics of him are born fools
