No wonder, he wants to make hundreds of crores for himself, score hundreds of runs for himself, win 0 matches for india, pay 0 taxes to india.. Cricketers are bunch of "A" holes.

veera, forget it. sachin fans can use sachin's exploits right from the time he started playing to prove he is great. people still refer to his 2008 CB series knocks which was 4 years back to prove a point. in those 4 years he has got runs mostly in the subcontinent, otherwise flopped or got injured. but they just dont consider such things.

thats the point here..dont live in the past..even the great ponting has 3 world cups to his credit but see where he finds himself today..

??? "This same set" theme was started by YOU... So YOU need to tell us what is your objection to the phrase.. :) I merely replied to your logic of the "same set" saying it applies not just to Australia, but to India too.. :) I never started any "same set" topic.
Secondly if the same set perform well, there is not harm in having the same set. Is there? :)
Re: Re: @pseudo
by veerapuram dharan on Mar 30, 2012 01:04 PM
no one is prohibiting the use of "same set"..the point here is, a success can be followed by failures..but the way we fail is the key here..to go down fighting has a greater appealing than losing tamely.. :)..hope u got my point..
Re: Re: @pseudo
by veerapuram dharan on Mar 30, 2012 01:06 PM
anddo u think we can afford to lose several such tournaments till 2015 or even beyond with ailing stars like sachin??
Re: Re: Re: @pseudo
by Against Pseudos on Mar 30, 2012 01:16 PM
Ailing? :-) England is permitted to lose with ailing stars like Trott who make "personal" centuries?? ;-)
Re: Re: Re: Re: @pseudo
by fink fanther on Mar 30, 2012 01:21 PM
so the focus has shifted from kohli to trott now. and trott made a century in tests, not ODIs. perhaps when he makes one in ODIs, you can bring him up.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: @pseudo

FF: Oh. So your focus is to belittle Sachin somehow? Not on the "so called" issues you think make him selfish? Thanx for admitting.,
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: @pseudo
by fink fanther on Mar 30, 2012 01:29 PM
good, answer my question with another rhetorical question. so that the focus shifts from your sorry rebuttals.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: @pseudo
by Against Pseudos on Mar 30, 2012 01:32 PM
Rebuttals to the "logic" you use to belittle Sachin. That hurts you? Of course. ;-)
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: @pseudo
by Against Pseudos on Mar 30, 2012 01:33 PM
And BTW, YOU answered my question with z rhetorical question. Care to answer my question? ;-)
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: @pseudo
by fink fanther on Mar 30, 2012 01:54 PM
i dont see anything in the 1.16 msg. in fact that was your reply to dharan where you mentioned trott. in return i queried why you brought trott into the pic. for whch you replied at 1.23 about me wanting to belittle sachin and not on issues that make him selfish. yeah, to a certain extent, i try to belittle sachin on many issues. one mailn issue being his selfishness.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: @pseudo
by Against Pseudos on Mar 30, 2012 02:25 PM
And when I pick up the same issue and prove it is not selfishness as applied to Trott or Kohli, you go ballistic. :-)
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: @pseudo
by fink fanther on Mar 30, 2012 02:39 PM
i go ballistic because what you say doesnt make sense. i dont go about bringing other players irrelevantly in a topic. and when questioned about it, i dont go about answering everything in the world except that one thing.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: @pseudo
by Against Pseudos on Mar 31, 2012 03:49 AM
FF:
I too don't bring other players "irrelevantly" in the topic... It's always other players who also exhibit the same characterstics you use to belittle Sachin.. :)
Re: Re: To those who call Sachin 'selfish'

All Indian players, especially our "bowlers" need to become more selfish...

Point is that a SELFISH person is not always bad and a SELFLESS person is not necessarily always good.
Sachin never speaks his mind in public (unlike Gavaskar or Ganguly or Kapil Dev for that matter). Also, he is always silent about giving any opinions on any issue whatsoever. Such people doing Shanti mein Kranti are very dangerous and unreliable !!

so what... we bother only about his game and his conduct on and off the feild...he is supreme on this front... he is only a cricketing role model...not a spriritual guru...

Khar:: u feel Kapil does any good speaking in public.. by the way he talks..he only demolish is own image build in last 3 decades..
Re: Re: Sachin - Master in doing Shanti mein Kranti !!
by Denzil Rajan on Mar 30, 2012 12:36 PM
Err.. Wouldn't 'The Bradman Oration' count as public speaking? Just asking.
Re: Re: Re: Sachin - Master in doing Shanti mein Kranti !!
by Against Pseudos on Mar 30, 2012 12:38 PM
Rajan:
So you mean Dravid "spoke his mind" in public? :) Then even Sachin has given many public interviews... :)
Rabbit above was talking about "speaking one's mind out" which Ganguly, Kapil and Gavaskar keep doing - "Falana should retire".. "Thikana is useless" etc. You think Dravid does that? :) Amazing!!
Re: Re: Re: Sachin - Master in doing Shanti mein Kranti !!
by ashish sahu on Mar 30, 2012 12:39 PM
Err. Wouldnt an interview with media that lasted for more than an hour count as public speaking? Just reminding.
