Interesting comments by various personalities on Sachin's century :

1. Digvijay Singh - Sachin is an RSS agent. All these days he was waiting to score his century against a Muslim country.

2. Manmohan Singh - I congratulate Sachin and also appreciate the leadership of Shrimati Sonia Gandhi.
...
3. Rahul Gandhi - My grandmother created Bangladesh. She deserves the credit for this century.

4. Raj Thackarey - Sachin has proved himself to be a true Marathi Manus after scoring this century. So what if India has lost, Maharashtrians cannot take the responsibility of the whole nation.

5. Mulayam Singh Yadav - If Sachin was from UP, I would have made tickets of all Cricket matches 'Tax free'.

6. Baba Ramdev - If you multiply all the runs Sachin has made by a billion is what is the total black money in foreign country.

7. Kapil Sibbal - Social media need to control comments on Sachin's century. It will harm the fabric of secularism in India.

8. Kris Srikkant - We selectors hope that by 2050, Sachin will also score his 150th century.

9. Arjun Tendulkar - I want to play with my father in 2020 world cup.

10. Sachin Tendulkar himself - Aaeellaaaa.. Now what excuse I will make to not retire.

11. But the best one indeed from Mamata Didi which appeared in some Bengali daily:
She said- She was not consulted in advance on such massive score hike, hence the century should be rolled back to 90.
She also demanded if it is not rolled back or withdrawn

Stereo type... playing for records
by ramdas lingam on Mar 26, 2012 08:20 PM

If records were so important and records have so much preference then what is wrong to create records?
If Records are for the sack of records then what is the difference between 99 and 100.
Pl stop talking abt records and playing for records.
Records are important and playing for it nothing wrong unless you completely in wrong track.

Arrogant Sachin
by Pinky Kulkarni on Mar 26, 2012 07:21 PM  | Hide replies

How arrogant he is? He has taken every one for granted!IF he really truly believes in his ability and form then why he changed hair style when he was not getting 100? A blind belief? After all he scored 100 against Bangladesh and that too India lost that match. Its just for his personal record. His words shows no self confidence but arrogance.

Sachin "Bigger" than "Nation"!!!
by Rakesh nair on Mar 26, 2012 07:10 PM

"Chief Selector" is to blamed for "sachin" being so "Arrogant"!!!
"Srikant" allowed "Sachin" to "Choose" series as per his "Choice"..."Missed" 100 ton at "Lords" ran to "Hotel" becoz of "Disappointment".
It is the same "Sachin" who "Faught" with "Dravid" after he "Missed" 200 in "tests"....resigned from "Captaincy" before gng to "Australian Tour" so that "Team loss" will not come on his "Shoulders" & "India" lost 3-0...."Faught" with "Greg" in 2007 "Wc" & "India" was "out"...."Fearing" being "Dropped" after 2007 WC,was ready to accept "Captaincy"(Interviews)..."Faught" when his "batting order" was "shuffled"!!!!!
"Sachins" Contribution is also "Immense" to "World Sport" but now his "Sole" aim is to "Collect" records so that he can be "counted" among "Pele","Federer" & others.
I as a "Citizen" of this gr8 "Nation" want to see "India" winning rather happy with Sachins "Records"!!!!!

Sachin "Bigger" than "Nation"!!!
by Rakesh nair on Mar 26, 2012 06:58 PM

There is a "Silent" Understanding between "Srikant","Corporate BCCI" & "Sachin"!!!!!
I "remember" a few years back in an interview,"Srikant" has said that "Let sachin play..so that no one comes close to his Records"!!!
"Srikant"(Weak man)& "Corporate BCCI" are perfectly "Aware" abt sachins "Hidden Ambitions" to Collect "Records" & in the "Process" if "Teams cause" is "Compromised"..it is OK!!!!
"Srikant"(Weak man) is working for "Corporates" & not for "Nations Interests"!!
"Sachin wants to retire..when he want to" ..by this "Statement" all including "Corporate BCCI","Srikant,"Opportunistic Corporate media" & "Citizens" have become "Non-Existent"!!!!
"Sachin" is not playing for his "Family" to "Decide" on "Himself" when he shall be "Dropped" or "Retired"!!!!

Let us respect his decision
by ramdas lingam on Mar 26, 2012 06:21 PM  | Hide replies

As long as he scores runs he will be selected by Selectors if selectors think otherwise he may call it day.
You people are talking abt selfishness Tell me one person who is not? From politicians , babas, filmstars,IAS IPS name any one incl all who are discussing here then why r we talking abt suchin’s

He held the BAT @ 14 for National and @ 15 for India.
Just imagine at that time what are we doing?
and He became celebrity in no time and by the time he is into teen everyone around him are either selfish people or business and he was cut off from the real world and always spent with people around him without knowing much.We people at that time used to spend with best of our buddies.
We have seen many young cricketers like Sivaramakrishnan, sadanand , maninder who were promising but could n't withstand the power of celebrity status.
At least his presence is bringing some name and fame to country.
Look @ martina she proved you can be fit and play even 40 .
If a win gives county some name or fans some energy even feet like what sachin did will definitely give

Ramdas,
The problem is the selectors have no guts to remove him even his performance is average.

This is not started with sachin coz if you remember,
Gundappa, ravisastry, kapil even srikanth most of the players who played for long were given those kind of chances our selectors were never like AUS that is another problem.
But as long as he can play let him play.

centuries in both innings, fastest 100, fastest 50, century before lunch, maximum sixes, highest runs in single over, highest individual score, 500 runs in test series, 60% contribution of inning total. once these will be overtaken by sachin then he will retire
