As Bangladesh were host, they changed the rules of run rate for qualifing.& added head to head rule, so they qualified. no one speaks about that. if It have been INDIA then all were bad mouthed, specially pakis. I think every where there should be same rules
The primary difference is that while the yesteryear australian and west indies teams can sustain their performance at the top most level over a long period of time, the asian teams cannot sustain may be beyond what a world cup schedule can offer. This has been proven again and again with the 1983 india team, 1992 pakistan team, 1996 pakistan team and 2003 and 2011 indian teams. May be its in our genes.

its not about genes its about pressure, asian countries play only cricket so all the attention and focus is on cricketers only and they cannot handle all the limelight. All these other countries like Australia and West Indies have so many different sports they do good and play so they enjoy their game without any tension.

After seeing the performance of Indian team after world cup, something in me tells that whole world cup was fixed.

A world champion and can't make into final ? A world champion and can't defeat "Unqualified" Bangladesh ? ...Go catch fish or pick scrap
Though India could not get into the final, India and Indian players were real victors. Since the tourney was played in Bangladesh they lost to them and also gave a chance for Bangladesh to win, the home crowd enjoyed the final,Well done india for big heart and get ready for IPL

dude Indian were much better than banglas. bangladesh qualified due to changes in rules by them, as BN is host of asia cup.

dickheads, BN made changes in rules so they qualified. as BN were host if it would had been INDIA every one in world would have blamed INDIA.
Whenever Asian teams get involved, most of the times they are fixed between authorities of Boards of each nation.
Espcially whenever Bangladesh is involved, its always been close finishes with Bangladesh loosing or winning. This is to make Bangladesh retain their place in international cricket
