the first and foremost criteria to pick a player is based on his fitness..he has to be a exceptional fielder, a good runner between the wickets and then a batsman or a bowler..in our team, i would say, only virat, dhoni, raina, gambhir, rohit and to some extent sachin fits the bill..all others like viru, laxman etc just cling on to their places because of their so called styles...viru is there because of aggression and laxman because of wrist power on to the leg sides..and these two are known to score runs only in boundaries..suppose if runs dont come up in 6's and 4's, these two doesnt know how to score..hence they struggled in eng and aus..

u must forgot yuvraj Singh.He is one of the best in the business.He will be coming back to indian team soon.Will love to see him play again with these young legs.

well if u compare virat with sachin during his formative years like him now, then hes miles better than him..
Tell those Team members who just throw away their wickets even street players are better than them in all the aspects be it fielding or running between the wickets... even if they are given out they will not accept easily../

Pressure is always there but you need to know how to handle pressure that is why you players are paid so highly. Our seniour should know their wicket value and technique to stay on pitch.. even street players have these basic things in mind, they will fight if given out by mistake or otherwise whereas game is for fun sake...
it was visible to every one that u are valuing your wicket more..else, how come you can score so many match winning centuries, that too while chasing, at such a young age of 23??

Absolutely Right, for a very long time have never seen a better puller in Indian Squad. Rohit Sharma is another Player who plays both the Hook Shot and Pulls exceedingly well
