out.

Bjorn borg at 24 years of age;
had
1.104 titles &
2. A standing record, still to be broken, on 2 different surfaces of Tennis.
[Grass 5 consecutive, clay 6].

As for SRT;

None of his 100 100 had the "Strike Rate", which this boy VK has

Srt did'nt score 3 successive centuries in 4 matches.

And you know what Borg said, when he retired at 26,

I had lost all interest in game,

He achieved that MUCH.

Ususally people like
pete, retired out of Tiredness,
[He wished that he were as young as Hewitt, & as agile as his legs
to play more]

That is mark of satisfaction..

People who prolong for YEARS,
are not satisfied

Have not achieved "Greatness"
in their own eye.

your statements are technically correct (may be) but your basics are wrong...srt has become what srt is over the last 22 years. he had proved himself to every1 except may be you ( whose opinion does not count AT ALL)...he has become a legend from a very talented cricketer. let's hope vk also repeats the same thing..if he is able to do that (which he is capable, it seems at the moment) then it will be great for indian cricket..don't forget many came with huge potential, talent but only a few became greats. remember kambli, Praveen amre???

Well said Bhaskar.

What sick minds we have that people compare the 22 years career achievments of SRT to that of VK who just started blossoming? If he is playing 19 years from now, how SRT is playing we accept he is as good or better than Sachin.

Why should we worry if Sachin or for that matter any sportsperson plays only for money when that's their profession? Are you people, who blame that Sachin plays only for money, not working in your profession for money? If you are leading retired life, haven't you worked / struggled to earn money for a good retired life?

So, what if Sachin scores for the country or for money? Let Gambhir, Rohit, Raina or MSD or VVS Laxman score for money, let Irfan , PK, Vinay, Ashwin take wickets for money. If they are trying to excel in their fields and in turn making money whats our problem?

Are we sacrificing something for the benefit of our colleagues? Aren't we working hard to get that extra incentive / bonus? Why this cribb about Sachin that he scores for personal benefit only? Let others also score for themselves only; the team would still get benefited. We will be happy.

Just for the heck of it, there will be Sachin bashers. After sometime Virat himself will be criticized; Dhoni's turn was over. Soon, it may be Ashwin, Rohit..... There is no end to the sickening coments of few of these "Indians" who get the kick by criticising just to see their post here.

What a great match.........
by Tamil Arasan on Mar 19, 2012 03:34 PM  | Hide replies

It's always great to win against the Pakistanis...what a win, men in blue you made me happy...thank you guys...
By the way how many knows our another super star Saina Nehwal have won the Swiss Open - She has won her first title of the season when she retained the Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold trophy with a straight-game victory over China's Shixian Wang in the summit clash at Basel, Switzerland.

The world number five Indian defeated Shixian, ranked third, 21-19, 21-16 in a 48-minute thrilling women's singles competition to defend her title.

Our media and press have hardly given any coverage for the great win of Saina Nehwal in Swiss open, because she to have defended her tittle against our competitor China and also a higher ranked player... Well-done Saina and Welldone team India for beating Pakistan...

Nobody turns hater or lover,

but,
if a person is given "Undue" prerogative,
hailing him as some "Greatest" ever,
bestowing him with "Highest" civilian award, etc.

The better deserving candidates raise their head,
to establish superiority.

Just leave nature to take its course,
no one will get hammered, for any reason.

IF SRILANKA BEAT BANGLADESH WITH BONUS POINTS..INDIA GONE
by subrata banerjee on Mar 19, 2012 03:09 PM  | Hide replies

The wicket of bangladesh is easy paced and the ball never go up above knee height. So it is the paradise of batsmen. Do not forget that unknown new, junior batsmen of pakistan also scored a respectable runs which of course, india could pass. But, mind it Koholi is no more a junior player and rather he is now one of the senior players and it is expected from him. But see the new batsmen of Pakistan and how they played against world's number one team with ease.
In addition, we still do not know which two teams will go to final as there is every possiblity of srilanka to win the match against bangladesh with huge bonus point. If it happens then india will not be elegible for final match and have to return. So Koholi, just play your game an d it is a long way to go.

Typical Cynical Bengali aren't you! I quite admire your confidence though as without understanding anything you jump to conclusion as if you are in expert. Now, for your knowledge, Srilanka can not go to finals despite winning with bonus point as they will still be third below India. Sometimes you should read before commenting!

Sir, FYI, Srlinka hasnt won any game till today and is on 0 Points. The only chance is if Srilanka looses and Bangladesh wins in the next match, then Bangla will have 8 points n they will go through. Even if Srilanka wins against Bangla, they will have 4 and with bonus, will have 5. India has 8 points. N for your detractions of the game yesterday, may be u want some of ur Kolkata guy to come n play in the Indian team.
