why did virat fail to score a century. why did raina score only fifty and get out. why was he slow to become run out. whwere were our bowlers why could thy not defend the total. dhoni scored but not jadeja. our spinners gave away more runs than bangladeshi.
Re: sachin
by Saravanan Subramanian on Mar 17, 2012 02:00 PM
Your questions have no meaning.
Raina came at the slog end - he couldn't have scored more than 50 anyway. His job was to increase the scoring rate which was miserably affected by Sachin's century. Virat is a human being - he can't score 100 in every match. But still he made at least 50. Do you recall Sachin being as consistent anytime in RECENT YEARS as Virat is now?
We were short of at least 30 runs because of Sachin's century.
The loss was purely because of Sachin. There is no doubt.
Indian team will see the light of the day, when Sachin retires.

seeing the kind of Indian bowling even additional 30 runs would have ended in India defeat.. but u wont like to think in dat manner..bec its easy to put blame on batsman
Re: Re: Re: sachin
by Saravanan Subramanian on Mar 17, 2012 02:21 PM
My point is already reflecting your point in a way. Given that our bowling is already weak, we should give them as much runs as possible to defend.
Re: Re: Re: sachin
by Saravanan Subramanian on Mar 17, 2012 02:24 PM
Remember, we scored 300 in the same ground when Sachin failed. This is already a proof that he is a liability to the team now a days.

by parag jain on Mar 17, 2012 02:26 PM
thats ridiculous....if our bowlers cant defend 290 against bangladesh....then they have to make atleast 500 runs to defend against Australia or south africa......so stop blaming sachin for the defeat.....the loss is becoz of our pathetic and third grade bowlers.....

What hypocrisy. Kohli is a human and Tendulkar is'nt? As for consistency Tendulkar hasn't played that well only after the World Cup. Before that he was quite consistent. As for the loss, Pathan would have found a way to concede those 30 runs you talk about. Tendulkar will not last forever. But if at all people are expecting more out of Indian cricket team it is because of the Fab Five - Tendulkar, Dravid, Laxman, Ganguly and Kumble. Three are already retired. Sure others have contributed, but these five were the back bone. Enjoy the other two while you can, because it won't be long. It is only when they are all gone, will you realize how tough it will be to achieve even a fraction of what these guys have.
sachin made 114 in 25 over (147balls) whereas the other team members made 175 in same 25 overs. see for urself - who played for self and who played for country.

Theere ars so many jealous isi agents posting nessages in fake names!Get a life, dude, in Bradman time, there were only useless bowlers who were bowling at a speed of less 60 km per hour and hence NO comparison can be made with great Sachin since in Sachin's time bowlers are bowling at 140 km and above, Get a life and get a reality check, folks!where is the comparsion between bradman&sachin, it is crooked westerners&their agents who want to show their superioriy who shout that Bradman is greatest and all the garbage! What a Shame!

@Ting Tang, Where did you get this brilliant piece of information.
It is obvious, you have been following cricket for the last 10 or 15 years.

The problem with you guys is that you do not want to accept facts. No wonder congress gets re-elected. Even after witnessing the blunt selfishness displayed by tendulkar and religiously followed by Kohli (both of whom had priorotised personal landmarks) you guys still want to defend. If you cant defend try to blame some one else. How does that wash away Sachin's diservice to the country?

We have all d right to defend..d same way u have to right to criticize :) .. so its ok for for an international bowler like pathan to crumble under pressure .. lets make Sachin scapegoat.. Had Indian been 320 ..it would have still lost seeing the kind of bowling..

afterwords they thanked the indian bowlers for bowling them too many full tosses..even the parttime bowlers can perform well..shame on indian bowlers
WIN = because of sachin,Loose = because of other 10,for the last 23 yrs ......only because of sachin we are winning......Anil Kumble,Srinath,Rahul Dravid,Saurav Ganguly,Harbajan singh,Virendra sehwag,VVS laxman etc etc were just there in the team without anything, hard to imagine what wouuld have been Indias fate without sachin

If the technology which is available today for the analysis of batsmans technqiues then the bradman's score will be almost same as sachin the bradman had the advantage of poor technology.

Please do not apply "IF" clause. In that sense if Sachin would have played for other country, he could have scored more runs by playing weak bowling of Indians

IF DON BRADMAN PLAYED 180 TEST MATCHES AND 460 ONE DAY INTERNATIONAL MATCHES,
AGAINST GOOD BOWLING ATTACK, PRESSURE SITUATION, TECHNOLOGY, VARIOUS GROUNDS, GOOD OPPONENTS
HIS SCORE WILL BE
TOTAL RUNS IN TEST MATCHES : 12000 TOTAL RUNS IN ONE DAY : 10000

Sachin made centuries in one day not in opening down but also in 2nd or 3rd down also. Why not captain or coach asked or media or you before from yesterday in his 23 years career where r u before yesterday.
Re: Re: answer

This was asked several times in the past for several years when suddenly he forced captains to accept himself at the opening position. Not just yesterday. Anyway the answer is quite obvious.

simple : unlike Dravid who batted at 1,2 ,3 5, 6 sachin was never responsible to take the call in team's interests
