Nasser Hussain's vote
by deleted on Mar 16, 2012 06:51 PM

we r proud of sachin but it's really stupid to compare to cricketing greats of two different era's. Who the hell Nasser Hussain is to vote for such great players and he is the one who called Indian cricket players " They look donkeys while fielding ". Bloody britisher.....sachin should have scored his ton against england in england by making his 2nd double hundred in ODI.

Bradman pounded runs after runs without helmet and other potecters against quickest and real fast bowlers, where as sachin covered with all sorts of defence.and what happened in austrila.now scoring aganist week bowling.so can't be compared with Great Bradman

Who is greater
by manoj mishra on Mar 16, 2012 06:35 PM

Sachin without any doubt. The sheer duration and no. of matches tell all. Bradman was made iconic by media by favourable analysis. Tendulkar created media hype with his batting.

Bradman played on 7 pitches.

Sachin played against 13 teams.
Bradman played against 4 teams.

Sachin played 650 matches.
Bradman played just 52 matches.

Sachin took 200 wickets.
Bradman took 2 wickets.

sachin played walsh ambros akram mcgrath warne murli etc
bradman played larwood only

sachin time video analysis for batsman shortcomings technolgy
bradman no such

Bradman's contribution is less than 18% contribution of Sachin to CRICKET.
Hats off to master blaster.

Thanx to everyone for participation in pretty easy question.

@SelfishBradman
Yeah, there were no jets in 1930s. Thats not the fault of Sachin. Bradman played in that era where there were no techniques available to know weaknesses of batsman. On the other side before every series opposition does special homework for Sachin to take his wicket as early as possible. Yeah, there was only one format in 1930, thats not fault of Sachin again. In Sachin's era three formats were available and he played every format with consistency and brilliance. Yeah, there were less test playing nations in comparison to today which means less variety of oppositions which helps to boost your average.

Every one knows that

Every one knows that Sachin is better even it is now scientifically proved.

The Bradman museum is
erecting a statue of Sachin.

Do you know why they are erecting his statue,to attract crowd,
nowdays nobody goes there but when sachin statue get erected there ,more people will attract towards the museaum.

Sachin is bigger than cricket ,and don was a cricketer.
Its easy who is best .

Sachin is better than Bradman by FAR!

Cool Proofs:
*1 Sachin played against the world best bowlers. i.e. Shane Warne,Murli, Mcgrath, Lee, Thompson, Gillespie etc..
*2 Sachin Played matches regularly.
I mean today's tight schedule u can see as Sachin played 166 Tests in 20 years whereas Bradman played only 52 in 20 years.
*3 Sachin was given out LBW oftenly in his career whereas in Bradman's era there was no LBW in the game.
*4 Sachin got out occasionally due to bad umpiring in his career. where as Bradman was favoured by umpire on thin edges.

The analysis is improper...lots can be said against it. The fact that Wisden's list of 100 best test innings does not have even on by Sachin(has Laxman's 281) and has multiple by Bradman and Viv, throws cold water on such analysis.

Sachin is a great no doubt, but when we say greatest, statistics cannot be the only criterion!

Story,
Wisden list is (htia. Tendulkar's 136 vs Pak ws much better thn Lara 153. Also in ODI Tendulkar 124 vs Zim is rated better than his 134 vs AUS. in Sharjah finals.

" Wisden's list of 100 best test innings " - itself says , all time best allrounder cricketer batsman is sachin ever , in odi's no competition , in tests some competition.

Bradman played 10/52 test i.e almost 20% tests against the weakest teams of his time[India and SA] with an avg of 190.25

Tendulkar played 14/171 i.e 8% of his tests against the weakest two teams of his time[Bangladesh and zimbabwe] with an avg of 91.47

Every players loves to play against one quality attack,Bradman loved English attack be it at home or in England. He has played 37/52 tests i.e. 71% of his matches against a single familiar opponent. so if V Shewag had played 71% of all his 82 test against his most favourite attack i.e Pakistan[He has an avg of 91 against them], his career avg would have been 80.43.

Bradman's avg had fallen considerably againt quality West Indian attack[74.50] or in bodyline series[55].Bodyline searies indicates one aspect that had he played in today's time with so much techno;ogy around opposition team would have definitely found some chinks or area of discomfort for Bradman, which he mostly escaped in that era.

The point is simple in todays age and time if Bradman had played he would have an avg of around 70 certainly nt 99.94 which was a sheer accident of time.

Had tendulkar played in similar type i.e more matches against the weakest teams or more matches against his favourite attack or only in India and Australian wicket year after year, his avg will also be somewhere near 70.

Also when Tendulkar is playing as a member of one of the finest batting line up where Shewag/Laxman/Dravid is diverting the focus of oppositi

Zimbabwe was not a weak team during early 90's.....so 8% will be little bit reduced to say 6%
