Read about Frank Tyson,Trueman Statham or Alec BedsarMike Procter. They might not have taken 400 wicket but are they inferior to Kapil Dev?statistics only?
While Naseer had expressed his views on SRT, I am sure, still there will be hundreds (if not millions) who would pounce on him for prasing the little master. I am sure there will be more Indians in the anti-Sachin campaign than those outside India.
They criticize him when he scores a century (scores for perosnal benefit only) They criticize if he doen't score century (even if he scores 50, 50, 80 they feel he failed) The criticize that he should have retired and paved way for youngsters. How many of the youngsters grabbed the opportunity when the other three seniors (Dada, Wall and VVS) left the ODI scene?
In 2012, we see another example of how much India can go to make their idols live...............in no other country would this happen.....................the argument is flimsy..........they would say there is 'nobody else'...........and the answer is 'how do you know unless you try someone else'.........Flim Songs: Lata dominated even when it was past her time, Cricket ...........the story need not be told, in films it is Amitabh.............in politics ............??? India needs Idols not for role models but more for 'meal tickets'

@ Eastindian
Well said.... Whatever he does, they still criticize him. If he is not scoring, he is not stopping the partner to take strike, right? Let the other batsman score while "Selfish Sachin" takes singles only......

He got paid for saying this. If someone pays me a few crores, I might say Nasser Hussain was the greatest of them all.
