Re: 49 ODI centuries - 33 Wins - 14 Losses - 1 Tie - 1 No Result
by Ashok Kumar on Mar 17, 2012 09:49 AM
U state that out of 49, 33 were to a winning cause and you still claim that India never wins whenever he score a century. Are they not too extremes, really?
out of this 100, nearly 70 have come on sub-continental wickets... I wonder how much runs would Sir Viv Richards, Ponting, Lara, Kallis would have scored if they got to play 70 - 80 percent of their games on flat wickets with no swing and bounce.... Sir Viv Richards for sure would have managed to hit atleast 200 centuries if he had the luxury to play on such wickets....

completely agree...to those who say he says he is greater than Sir Don I will say Sir Don faced the bodyline series and Tendu faced mostly lollypoop series.Sir Don faced LArwood and Mr Tendu faced Shakibul hassan or such idiots of some other name

There were no lbw rules then and many times decisions were always in favoure of batsman..and many otehr things..In fact if uclosely watch SRT faced morst fierceful and greatest Spin attack

No One stopped Viv to do it.. He didnt do it becoz he was not SRT.. and cricket is not would have and could have ..game...Yeah someoen might say If Bhagwat chandrshekahr would have batted left handed he would have scored first tripple hundred for India...

Viv plyed the greatest of fast bowlers without helmets and could smash any spin attack to pieces...tendu is just a flat tarck survivor ...batting against fearful spin attacks...ha ha ha ha

Ok if is this is this then that would have benn that I will not say..so then lets stop comparing Sachin with Viv or Bradman because we dont know what would have happened if they played now.I say that that has this record only because of the length of time he continues to play and not for anything else. And also the fact is out of his 100 centuries 70 came in Asia.Inaddition few are in Sydney which nearly Asiatic condition
They appreciate each other's talent and their achievements... But instead they are jealous and try to cramp the other indian guy for his acheievements..
Today Dhoni and his brigade with their black hearts got successful in insulting Sachin by purposely losing the match..
Re: Indians could have been a great country only if
by Ashok Kumar on Mar 17, 2012 09:56 AM
Indian Bowlers proved the Bangladesh captain correct, by bowling pathetically yesterday. Irfan was off color yesterday and was bowling like a school cricketer. Ashwin's fielding has been terrible to say the least. Had he made real attempt to catch Shakib, Bangladesh could have been put under pressure. And MSD is not really helping by his defensive field setup. So even if we score 300, it will be tough to defend with our kind of field positioning and bowling.
Calling Sachin a selfish player that means you have problems with your memory. If you just analyse the table above, out of 100 centuries 72 times it has helped indias cause to win or draw a match. Only 26 out of that have resulted in lost and only 10 losses since 2004. So stop calling him a selfish cricketer. He is the most talented and dedicated player in the history of the game you will ever see.
I have a dream last night where God came and told me, "My child, you know Sachin is going to get his elusive 100 tomorrow and that all because he is blessed with talent, though you even don't have 0.1% of his talent, if you wish, I can make you a greater cricketer than Sachin who will achieve 150 hundreds." I told God, "Oh my Father, thanks for your generosity, yes, you are right, I want to be a famous cricketer since my childhood, however if you really want to fulfill my wish, then let Sachin record be intact, let me have 50 hundreds only, however all those hundreds should be in the cause of my country's win". God smiled and told me "Amen".
any way congrats sachin for ur mahashatak . But it took to much time already it took 1 whole and also took away the match away from us . Cant say any thing for the bowlers as they performed beyond expectation. Sachin u only remain to be blamed bcoz to screen ur century u took near abt 150 balls.
Re: really a very boring century
by Ashok Kumar on Mar 17, 2012 10:00 AM
Bowlers performed beyond their expectations? Really? They got belted all across the ground by the minnows. Their bowling was pathetic to say the least. I do agree that SRT took more balls to score his century but that does not take away the fact that our bowlers leaked runs yesterday and there were horrifying fielding by guys like Ashwin.
And India lost to lowly Bangladesh. Opener, no pressure, easy opposition, batting track. Century was inevitable. If only he could have helped his country win. Give me a Dravid anyday, who despite being less talented always played with his heart and for his country, a team player to the core. This is the fundamental difference between Dravid and Sachin.

Fundamental diff bet Dravid and SRT is one is Dravid and otehr is SRT ..simple as that...This ton happened and Ind lost but it has happened with Rahul too...forgot ENG tour ..but of course one can not discredit Rahul for that...The whole team loses or wins..its a teamwork..
