Jadeja is taken in to the 11 only for his brilliant fielding . Batting and bowling he might not or cannot be compared to Pathan but Fielding he is brilliant .Dhoni feels that with our 135 pace bowlers , if u do not field well then the might be big score.
credit goes to praveen and well supported by irfan and vinay.wow, in first 3 overs praveen gave 29 runs,it was irfan and ashwin brought the game back by economic bowling and grabbing first 4 crucial wickets otherwise srilanka was flying high.

listen to the dhoni interview, thatswhat he said, full credit to praveen for his second spell and well supported by irfan and vinay,he did not even mention ashwin who took 3 wickets.
Sachin has been unnecessarily destroying his hard earned(before england and australia, now asia cup) good batting averages in test and ODI cricket.
Batsmen get recognized, remembered, regarded etc by seeing good batting averages with 50 test matches as minimum benchmark.
Look at Bradman, he is regarded great jsut because of his average though he has less hundreds and runs compared to Sachin.
Its high time Tendya realizes this and retires with what he has now instead of retiring at worse batting averages. He has to retire with following averages at min otherwise all his years of achievement wont be regarded that much.

Sachin is a player who has set records for India and after a long hard work, he may be at a lowest point in his career, but it does not mean he should quit cricket. You must realize that what Sachin is doing will write India's name in solid gold, which every player will only aspire to reach but would be impossible to. So, be patient man. Sachin's best is yet to come.

bradman the great is selfless and play for country unlike sachin. he may get avg 100 by scoring just 4 runs in last match . unfortunately he out for duck avg 99.967. he cannot play further . the problem for sach is he play for personal rec in mind. it is clearly viewed by all from last 1 yr. he is "the selfish"

aus is lion is bouncy wickets and slaughter lamb in spin tracks. Whats new ?
don't understand why jadeja is getting so many oppurtunities in spite he did not even have 1 single good innings as a batsmen. at times he gets wickets but he definetely can be replaced by talented folks sitting in bench.
Re: Re: jadeja
by Sunil Vaidya on Mar 14, 2012 07:38 AM
yes after irfan, gautam, raina, kohli, praveen, ozha, vinay, yadav, ashwin, its jadeja's turn now...
While not to criticize team India, they have come out good on a sub-continent type of wicket devoid of pace and bounce where we thrive and act like lions. On a bouncy and seeming wicket in England or Australia, we come out cropper. At least it is good we learned our strengths.

to be fair everyone is a lion on home turf..Cricket is now dictated by the pitch..check recent tours: India lost to England in England, England lost to India in India.. Pak lost to England in England..England lost to Pak in Dubai..Pak lost to Aus in Aus..Aus lost to SAfrica..Test Cricket has become farce day by day.
