Does it always makes us feel so good that some western entity is talking about us? . No offence towards the aussie news papers, but it always works one way - Westerners never care about what we think or write about them ,but on the contrary we -Indians- feel elated when some western elements happen to say something about us . Rahul dravid will be remembered in the hearts of Millions of Indians as one of the legends of Cricket . Period
Cricket it was said is a Gentlemen' game. I think in the last 15-20 years he has been the only true gentleman of this game--no controversies, immense respect, leadind and scoring by example, catching by example(!!!!), keeping the wickets (Sentry duty!!) when required. I miss him the most after the departure of Vishwanth--and what a coincidence that both of them are from the South Indian State. I hope the board will utilize him for other cricketing neccesities and further it would be nice to hear/see him as a commentrator in the same foot steps as Shastri, Gavaskar, Tony Greig etc

I agree with the earlier part of your comments.
But playing the game and being a commentator are two different things. Among the Indian commentators, while atleast Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri are quite good in terms of ability to communicate in English, others cut a sorry figure as commentators. Even these two can improve a lot in the quality of the commentary they make. Very often we find them giving advice to the captains from the commentary box!!
Dravid, like Ganguly, will make a very poor commentator or studio expert.
The best way Dravid's expertise and exposure should be utilized is to make him the batting coach at NCA Bangalore for helping the future generation to evolve on scientific lines.

I agree with you.Saurav has been a very boring and actually an earache. Dravid will have to mould himself to be successful as comm. He can better be coach or in the technical committee of ICC . His vast experience and knowledge will come in handy for the icc

Man Mohan Singh lost respect for following too much instructions from his boss. Rahul, followed his own intution to remain on top.
Manmohan Singh will not resign, until he has been asked to do by his boss. Rahul hang his boots at his will, inspite of people asking him to continue.
