His choice buddy if that is what he wants to do. Atleast he would not keep on blocking somebody else. You need to get over your jealousy and cowardice. Blaming everybody and everything else is not going to fix it.

So right now he IS blocking any upcoming wicketkeeping talent by hogging ALL international matches. I agree.

if you consider test cricket as boring, then of course he was very boring. But for other people he was truly a gem in test cricket

We salute dravid ..who showed how the test cricket has to be played its not just swinging bat here and there
"at the end of the day when a player has to go, he knows he has to go and I didn't feel the need to drag it on longer [in order to have a farewell Test]" Do you get Mr. Tendulkar? It's ok even if India loses a few test matches, few series, even the test rankings... But, seniors' retirement will sure help Team India in the longer run and would separate men from boys. It's time they take over the mantle.

Agreed. Kohli too. We need test cricketers who score lower than those two. ;-)

No. Top scoters should retire as suggested. Which includes Kohli.

SRT? retiring? no chance! he want to play international cricket with his son. I read someone commenting like this somewhere.... Even if Bharat Ratna is bestowed upon him, he won't retire... I pray, Dhoni has some more ideas up his leave like rotating the openers to snub him

Do not worry Naveed! Our Dhoni has a few more ideas up his sleeve other than rotation of openers like, rotating aged buddas, shunting him from long off to fine leg, exposing his fielding and fitness limitations asking him to field at point or square leg and denying him a substitute, etc., after all, all are equal in the team and no concessions for age as long as u want to play and earn... And it's said, Dhoni's moves have the blessings of the selectors and the board.

Naveed??? ROTFLMAO.., you forgot to switch your ID before replying to own comment. :-)
I'm amazed at the fact that nobody has mentioned about his feats and stats of the 1999 WC. Instead they say that he's been a liability in ODI's. Truly dissappointing.

he was the highest run getter in the 1999 WC though ironically India was knocked out even without playing the semis.
