Now make him Couch, give him some respect and get rid off those white faces who comment on Indian player and Indian culture after they collect a huge pay check! Doing nothing!!!

I am glad you said Couch and not Coach ...if he is made Coach India will only draw matches
I think Rahul Dravid has shown the way for cricketers worldwide it is not neccessary to go out with a bang. A quite presser is enough. Unassuming as always is leaving the field in same manner. Hats off

Kumble s announcement diring a match and the silly post watch scenes was the worst retirement
A great player who needs no further judgement from any other person about his greatness. Thanks for playing so long and so well for India. A player who saved many matches for India and that is what is important of Dravid. May be he deserved a better farewell. Failing in one series should not have been the end of his time as he played too well in the series before that. He should have been given one honorary test match to give a proper send-off.

dravid never ever said no to anything. he was asked to open the innings in tests, made to go for any position in batting order, even asked to take gloves n keep the wkts. he was the best batsman to b relied upon in the worst situations. he never said no. he was a perfect team man. unlike sachin who always wants to open in odi n at no.4 in tests irrespective of team requirements.

Rahul, i first saw you on the sports scene in Deccan Herald after your debut in pune vrs maharashtra, in a blue t-shirt with cross stripes, and on that day i beleived that you would be the greatest batsman for india and today i am proud that my analysis has come true. i salute you for being a true soldier for the indian cricket team, till the time you came to the indian team we were poor travellers but you redifined that and gave us all the joy by beating the best in their own backward. Now its time Cheteshwar Pujara comes and fulfills our dream of being the next DRAVID, I wish you all the best in your future life as a becon of indian cricket for many more years to come may be as a true representative of the game.

PREDICTION: He will come back. It is not that easy to leave name, fame and MONEY.

He is a well grounded educated man, he will always have money because well grounded people rarely loose money, name and fame he will have even if he retires completely. so your statement is absurd.
Everybody talks about his technique, his discipline which were of course his hallmark. But who can forget his aggression. He hit Alan Donald(South Africa) for a six on the offside and Alan Donald shaking his head in disbelief

spoken like an ass. He played according to the needs of the team.
perhaps that's because cricket is such a dull sport. kenya, Zimbabwe, pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh - that's 50% of the cricket playing nations - and all of them are failed states. LOL.
Not one advanced nation plays this laughable sport. Gentleman's game...haha...more like sissies game.
Fat, old men running around and refusing to retire - that itself tells you how much stamina and muscle this game requires. In any case, Indian is a country where people worship cow dung, and cricket is cow dung - so go worship it suckers.
Re: Who is Dravid?

Please don't underestimate the stamina, skill, concentration and talent required to play good cricket and that too at international level. You need real quick reflexes to tackle the fast bowling and place the ball into the gaps. It is very refreshing when you play for fun but can be very stressful when you have some responsibility to play for the Country or even for the leagues. Now if you play gully cricket you would know...i am not sure if you ever played some serious cricket. So Dravid is truly a great man having to withstand these pressures and doing a good job for India for 16 years. I would tend to agree on the popularity of the sport in the World though.
