believe there is a mass selection for bowlers in different parts of the country. It's a good idea and I hope we find at least a dozen quality fast and spin bowlers at the end of this exercise

dropping harbhajan great bowler Aswin got how many wickets and gave awahy how many runs in the australian tour? Still harbhajan singh is the best.

Both Bhajji and Ashwin have not been used to take wickets but only bowl middle leg line and stop run flow - Main prob is spinners need some1 from other end to stifle run flow so that they can put pressure on batsman. Remember how Bhajji/Kumble pair worked? One was containing and other was taking wickets - but off late we see runs leaking from both ends. Dhoni's tactics like these will work only in sub continent and he is adamant enuf to accept his idea is wrong and hence the results 0-4 twice
Dilip vengsarkar is one of the best batsmen of India and his comment in this article is the best by far. You see players who has been consistantly performing extremly well in the domestic tournaments like Ranji, Deelip trophy are totally ignored by the selectors. Pace bowler like DINDA who ha been bagging huge wickets in allmost every match in Ranji and Deelip trophy is left out in australian tour. Manoj tiwari scored a century in the last one day international on the basis of which he was included in the team but pushed back to the reserved bench of the touring team and inefficient players Suresh Raina, Rohit sharma, Jadeja (according to dhone Raina and Jadeja are all rounder?????????) continue to get oppertunities match after matches. Is it fair? Best wicket keeper Wriddhiman Saha has been performing extremly well in Ranji and Deelip troply but no way. Reason? Dhoni has to be dropped if the best wicket keeper of india is selected.

See, Dhoni is playing the CSK lobby. That is why he is playing Raina, Rohit, Jadeja etc. He does not want Saha to play matches. That is why he has taken him in CSK where he is no.1 WK. He will not play Manoj Tiwari becoz that will block Raina.

I think Nepotism is surely around. But for me, the rather crisp word is incompetency.
India has never been the innovator of thoughts despite abundance of intellect that has been aptly utilized by multi-national agencies/professions.
Who makes the innovoations in world cricket. Its mostly AUSTRALIA. Their modus operndi and newer techniques suggest that they identify competent people to their job.
In India, we are just opposite. We lvoe to thrive in MEDIOCRITY. We choose those people at job, who appease a group of people for thier wasted interest. If it affects us we oppose, else we all do the same thing.
Its not about few incompetent inidividual in BCCI, its about the country, which lacks innovation as a mind set.
Latest in this trend, is survial and professioanl gains by a group of players, for the sake of thier personal gains and IPL has opended that window. Another dirt in the already existing mud.

Leave like Ricky Ponting means to throw out. Ponting wanted to continue at any cost, but the selectors decided otherway.
Indian culture: Better to learn from Sharad Pawar. Loot this country, be on the cricket board and own 10% of swiss bank accounts.
