Chappel's intention
by Pradip Rabindranath on Mar 05, 2012 10:11 AM

I am no great advocate of 10dulkar since times he should have retired. But let us not get carried away by what Chappell's mind games. He may seem incisive but deep down he is as rotten as his team mates who offer Phd in slandering.

Sachin

Sachin is still the best bet for India. Chappell is telling that Sachin blamed Lee for that run out. Anyone who has watched that game will be knowing that Sachin got out because of Lee. As Ravi shastri pointed out in one of his articles, the Aussies ran towards Lee and not Warner for getting Sachin out. Even Lee had the 'I got him' expression on his face in photos. I dont think Sachin was a total failure. 2 inside edges, 1 run out of the 6 matches he played. Was it really that bad? His stay in the middle might have been less, but as long he was there he looked in good touch.

Agree with you my friend; in the tests, apart from Kohli who got a hundred, he looked the most assured batsman. yes, as Chappell said, his getting out to Clarke was an aberration to the way he played. But Tendulkar has a history of getting out to innocuous looking bowlers like Hansie Cronje... But ODI was a different story.. something had got to him for sure.. except the last match which India played, he looked like a different player.May be he should play more such innings to get his form back...

Which team you from? Surely eveyone of Kohli's runs must also be painful for your team... :)

You don't get the drift. What I meant was - divide earnings by runs scored!

Wy Aussies speak?
by sman la on Mar 05, 2012 06:47 AM

because they know we were a strong competitor and ofcourse Sachin wanted to do good against Aussies in their home, but sadly coouldnt. Because he chose specifically to play against australia, he unfortunately failed. Now they are making kind of mockery of him. It is more personel than profession, the reason Chappal is speaking.

See now who is talking.

He is 100'X 100% right.

So far no international player has failed to credit on any occasion whenever he excels.
There is no envy in any player's mind.

But what is happening now is beyond limit. So the professionals will speak.

Even his stay was unduly extended to the last world cup. He did not fare well in that too.

Most of the Indian professional players are mum on this issue out of modesty and 'who should bell the cat' syndrome.

In the last world cup (2011) Sachin scored 482 runs ... second highest in the tournament... with 2 centuries..

Funny he didn't fare well in that too? :)

He can be asked to go. It is the country that matters finally. No questions about it. But chappel trying to cover his country men and their cheap tricks on ground is pathetic.
